This property was the perfect getaway for our South Dakota vacation. We went to Mt Rushmore, hiked on trails along the Needles Highway, did exploring and Jeeping in and around the trails in the Black Hills and when we returned to the house it was always so accommodating and equipped for us to do whatever we needed to do to complete our day and get ready for the next day, including relaxing in the awesome hot tub!! We also loved the game room and the open areas in the house including the TV and recliners in the living room. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed for preparing meals. We also loved the chickens, goats, kitties and Eeyore the donkey! The next time we come to South Dakota we will definitely return to this excellent house!!!

The property was just as described in the listing. The house was clean, orderly, not overcrowded and had great amenities. The location was quiet & peaceful and we really enjoyed the small farm animals. Yard games, hot tub, Blackstone grill etc. We brought bikes, kayaks and fishing gear and had a great time. Connie was a great host.

From the get go Connie was AMAZING! As soon as we parked we were greeted with a friendly smile and a tour of the animals. Connie made us feel like family and her property and animals were perfect for our kids. They loved gathering eggs everyday and checking on all the animals! Connie was a wealth of knowledge and suggested incredible fun family outings that weren’t advertised! House was incredible and that porch is perfect for morning coffee! So peaceful. Highly recommended or not ;) that way it wouldn’t be booked for our return trip!

This was such a wonderful place! Nice and clean, well loved and cared for. Wonderful hosts! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recieved great ideas of places to see from our host, Connie. Their animals were a hit with our littles. Beautiful views.

This was our first stay at Connie’s cabin, and we absolutely loved it! She was so helpful with answering questions before we arrived, and she was available if we needed anything during our stay. The location is perfect for riding UTV trails and hitting up all of the other Black Hills attractions. Hope to stay again someday!

We stayed for 4 days (4 adults & 4 teenagers) The property was amazing. Super clean, well organized and Connie is “right there” to help you if you have any questions. Our kids loved the game room and it gave them a great spot to unwind when we got back from exploring. We made breakfast every morning on the black-stone and enjoyed the hot tub every evening.
If i could give any advice to other traveler’s, for those coming through Hill City- STOP and get groceries before check in. The house is 30 minutes from Hill City, which is perfect, unless your hungry.

My husband and I along with our chilren and grandchildren had the best vacation. Connie was a wonderful host and went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to the Black Hills!

The entire trip was relaxing . No pressure . No worries. Just fun hikes and kayaking/paddle boarding , adventures to surrounding monuments and area. Beautiful …weather was cool ( a bit rainy) but nice. Everything was great! Hosts were amazing …would highly recommend!

This home was a great place for 6 adults and one toddler to stay. We used the front and back deck constantly. Great place to relax, visit, enjoy the quiet and nature. It was fun to interact with the animals. The host was so friendly and the home was clean and very well stocked for our family. Thank you for absolutely everything!

Absolutely perfect! We had so much fun and the kids (3, 5, 8 and 11) were never bored!
We did all the touristy things and when coming back to the “farm house” the kids were excited to see the donkey and the chickens. The house is awesome and Connie/Jeff are greats hosts!

We all had a blast! The kids enjoyed every second of this property as did the parents! It was perfect for us as we were trail riding most of the time. You can leave right from the cabin! Only thing I’d like to say is please don’t rent this so we can have this place to ourselves when we come back out! 😁😉 We loved the hosts! Such AAAAmazing people! Thank you for the great opportunity to stay on your property

Very nice house, yard and surrounding area. Connie and Jeff were very hospitable and made sure that we had everything we needed. Enjoyed gathering the fresh laid eggs daily, the hot tub, game room and large yard for our croquet games.

Beautiful location and access to area attractions, especially Deerfield Lake. We wanted green space for the kids to run and the animals were an awesome perk! Jeff and Connie were so gracious and their home was a perfect fit for our needs and wants. Precious memories made!

This home is amazing! We took advantage of all the amenities offered such as the hot tub, fire pit, game room and the farm animals! My son loved to go feed the goats and chickens “treats” and gathering eggs. Every day we watched the deer come to the front and backyard. The home was spacious and clean with room for 10. Easy check-in and check-out. The hosts were friendly and gave great advice on area attractions.

This was a very beautiful and quiet place to stay. Centralized in Black Hills National Forest. We came out to ride Atv's and had immediate access to all sorts of trails. There is a convenience store with gas very close by. I highly recommend!

If you are looking for a vacation spot to experience the true essence of the Black Hills, look no further. This property is simply beautiful inside and out. We found it to be extremely comfortable as well as clean. There is a fully stocked gourmet kitchen with every utensil required to prepare all your meals. We enjoyed the game room immensely. Enjoy the country side as wildlife wanders past; we saw white-tail deer, wild turkeys, bald eagles, a blue bird family, and backyard sparrows. Connie and Jeff are extremely gracious hosts. We hope to return to enjoy this five star vacation getaway.

This VRBO is a vacation in itself - the kids wanted to "stay home" as much as explore Black Hills attractions. Connie and Jeff have created a VRBO that is beautiful and comfortable. The barn is home to chickens and goats - and five kittens were a surprise for the kids. Surrounded by the national forest, we began our mornings with coffee on the front porch and ended the day in the hot tub and around the fire pit looking up at the night sky. As for the house, the game room is great, the kitchen has everything needed and the bedrooms are spacious. We are already planning a return visit - you won't want to miss it.
