El Toro Motel

Great stopover with our family. Spent 3 nights here. Staff were pleasant, main bed was made everyday and towels were changed daily. Room was recently renovated including bathroom (don't judge at outside building condition). Liked that there was a pool and spa but we didn't get a chance to use this time but lots of families were enjoying. Loved that there was a restaraunt and a kebab shop at the back of the hotel you could just walk through and have a meal (even a pub/sports bar for those who didn't have younger kids with them). Heating and cooling available but room was comfortable to not use.

No microwave, cutlery or bowls in our room probably ideal to have as mainly families were using these rooms. Also the hand held shower head needed something to hold it up. I worked out to balance over the tapware to use it would be difficult if someone had an injury or disability to use.

The rooms are well laid out and comfortable. The motel is brilliant value for money. The bar staff were super friendly and the bar is great for a quiet drink.

Unfortunately, the rooms are not very sound proof. And on a couple of nights there was a LOT of noise from outside. While the kitchenette is handy, it does not have a cooktop. The pool is potentially awesome, but quite dirty.

I like that it had its own restaurant in it and pub for socialising. The bathrooms were done up and clean, the constant house keeping and fresh towels were great. The staff were friendly and accomodating

The beds were uncomfortable and the rooms weren’t that sound proof which is abit hard at times when sleeping. The no designated parking was not great as we wanted the car right outside our room. A kitchenette in all the rooms would be great for people who stay.
