Tresillion House is both a guest house and your host's home. When we arrived, our host's daughter and grandson were just leaving the property after having stayed or a few nights, and so you instantly got the feeling of it being a lovely, welcoming and well used family home. There was a grand piano in the main sitting room, which was the result of our host having previously been a piano teacher for many years. She is also the current Chair of the National Garden Scheme in Leicestershire, which encourages people to open their gardens for charity during the summer. As a result, the garden at Tresillion House was wonderful with lots of varied areas to explore. Inside the house the furniture was a little bit dated, but that was in keeping with the overall experience and everywhere was spotlessly clean.

We did like this, but not everyone would, as breakfast was served to us at a large table that we had to share with other guests who we'd not met before. It actually led to some interesting conversations, but if you're not great on communal breakfasts it could be quite a challenging start to the day. Whilst we enjoyed our cooked breakfast, a couple from Belgium were also staying who had ordered a continental breakfast. When it arrived it had a very generous selection of cheeses and cold meats and looked really appetising. Another time, we would probably opt for that.

Lovely property, close to where we needed to be. Breakfast was great and the owner was very nice and helpful.

We have had a lovely stay at Tresillian house. The house is great, comfortable and good location. Alison looked after us and made us feel very welcome. There was an excellent choice of tea and coffee in the room, complimentary biscuits and fruit, and a small fridge with water. Breakfast was freshly made, again there was a choice of cereals, and we had the full English, very tasty and set us up for the day. Gardens are lovely, we recommend having a wander around.

Nothing.
