Nice, basic room with balcony that offers a view at the center (glimps of the Welsberg church), very friendly staff in this family run hotel. Excellent ratio price-quality.

The cushion(s)

The location of Hotel Hell was perfect for us as we wanted to visit Lago di Braies early next morning. The lake is just a 20 minute drive. The beds are comfortable and the staff is friendly.

The bathroom is dated (kind of funky tiles though). However, you have to shower in the bathtub, without a shower curtain. This means the water goes everywhere. There is also just one sachet of soap per person, which technically means you can only shower once. Not ideal if you’ve been hiking in the area. Also the hotel lobby opens up to a butcher (no doors in between). Quite a strong smell every now and then when entering the hotel, and for us being vegetarian and vegan (and we understand that this region isn’t that vegan-friendly yet) not that great.

Monteguelfo/Welsberg is just stunning and the welcome, food, room and hospitality from the staff were above what we could hope. We did Alta Via 1 and asked to leave our car in the underground, under lock and key parking and they were nice enough to accomodate for a very good fee. I'd come back here every time and will advertise it to friends and family.

I was late arriving (missed train connection) and the front desk clerk stayed late to get me checked in. Very appreciated!

Hotel in the very center, max 7 minutes to the train station, 3 supermarkets nearby. Very nice hosts, good breakfast. Rooms and furniture a little bit old, also struggled with electricity plugs, but adapters are available on the reception. I arrived earlier than check-in time and left the suitcase at the hotel. When I came back it was waiting for me in the room - it was nice. All in all comfortable stay.
