As a family using Die Hoekhuis as a base for 2 nights- was great. We had room one and two next to each other.
It is fairly central in Cradock and just away from the main road so fewer trucks and noisy traffic - even though some did use the road past but was not a problem.
The rooms were comfortable and clean with tvs in both rooms. We self catered and it was sufficent to use the kettle, cups and plates etc and small fridge and braai facilities provided. We did eat out our main meals out as we had planned to, as it does not have a full kitchen or dinning area which we were aware. There are great restaurants nearby with wonderful hospitality in Cradock.
There was a small milk carton and tea and coffee and rusks supplied which was great on arriving.
The wifi worked well.
Overall would stay there again.

It is quite isolated and there are no staff on site ir any reception area.

We made a booking on Booking.com and when we got there with booking confirmation and every thing, this lady starts shouting at us, even though we say we have proof of the booking being confirmed on time. The white lady we spoke to was rude, she was shouting at us as if we were incompetent fools. We ended up cancelling the booking.
I believe as someone who owns a business you should know how to speak to potential clients. She was very unprofessional and plain out Rude.

Everything was great, clean, spacious, very nice and we especially appreciated the use of the washing machine. Many, many thanks! Mountain Zebra National Park is absolutely stunning.
This has nothing to do with the property, just to note, the neighbourhood dogs were very loud at intervals during the night. A little shelf were to put toilettries in the bathroom would be helpful .

Host were very welcoming and friendly. Room spacious and clean.
We're also inform of loadshedding and received wifi code that was appreciated.
No hot water to shower 😩 and was too late to inform host. Just have to make sure that for next booking.

bathroom was nice and big with lovely shower
Really nice warm water that heated up quickly
The heater couldn't plug in as the lead was too short
The facility is not very sound proof and the neighbors could be heard throughout
The fridge makes loud noises when it switches on and off during the night
The toilet light is very poor
The outside gate struggles to lock properly
Too little milk for 2 people for coffee
