Indulge and turn your vacation mode ON as you stay in this original Doelger Mid-Century Modern home! You will surely appreciate the newly renovated interior of this iconic abode decorated with a mix of old and new elements. You'll feel like staying in a luxury hotel within the comfort of a welcoming home. This home is very close to the ocean so the air is always fresh and hang gliders can often be seen overhead. The interior has been newly refurbished with new kitchen appliances and other amenities which you can use during your stay. There is a 55" 4K ROKU TV with sound bar in the family room, a remote control natural gas fireplace, premium Simmons mattresses, and off street garage parking with space in the driveway for two additional cars. The home is located in the Westlake area of Daly City (close to the iconic Original Joe's restaurant as well as to many other eateries). It provides convenient access to public transportation (San Mateo County Transit and BART) and stores such as Starbucks, Trader Joe's, Safeway and Walgreens. This is a neighborhood of single-family homes is quiet and provides easy access to the ocean including Thornton State Beach (15-minute walk) and Fort Funston. The property is super close to San Francisco (SF is actually right behind the backyard fence!). By car, it takes 15 minutes to get downtown or to the airport (SFO), and only 20 minutes to get to the Golden Gate Bridge or to Oracle Park. The location is convenient to the city, but because of its proximity to nature, the home allows a nice respite from the urban density of the city. It is also very close to some of the best surfing in the SF area with Rockaway and Linda Mar State Beaches being only a 15-minute drive away.

Daly City Stay
It's a good home, cozy and charming. Sinks in both bathrooms need to be fixed. Water flow was weak and like a headline, should provide more paper towels and toilet paper. Door lock was stuck but quickly addressed by management team. Record player is a bonus. A sweet home away from home.

April 2023 Vacation
Overall, this was a great property. This was my first time renting through vrbo and I wasn't sure what to expect. The property was accurately described. We loved the three bedroom and two bath layout. There were walk in closets in every bedroom. The property was clean. I had an issue with the washer and the manager responded promptly and tried several times to fix it. Eventually they got a new washer on day 5 of my visit. This was unexpected.
I would recommend this property. The house literally backed up to a golf course! Very private and safe. Close to a target, safeway, and walgreens.
I would suggest a few more towels and a bath mat but otherwise it was a wonderful experience.

Great house, great location!
Spent the weekend with my 2 sons to do some golfing and site seeing, the house was perfect for our trip, weather was awesome. All round a wonderful vacation!

Very nice home
The home is located in a quite area between other houses of the same type. The beach is 20 minutes walk, shopping 15 minutes walk. By car San Francisco city center can be reach within 20 minutes. Families or other groups can easily stay here - house and kitchen are well equiped with all necessary stuff.

We enjoyed staying this house, very comfortable. It is very good location, nearby beachside, supermarket, gas station etc. And the room is very clean and the kitchen utensils is very high quality.

Great place for a family
Our family of four stayed at this property for three nights as we explored the Bay area. While not in San Francisco proper, the location is excellent. The property was exactly as described, and very well-maintained.

Bay Area House
The house was spacious, quiet, relatively clean and best of all in a great location ... Olympic Club was your backyard, walking distance to Original Joe's of Westlake and the ocean. Very good experience.

Beautiful home quiet scenic location
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful was very clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable and the sunshine came through the windows in the morning to brighten the living room. The view of the golf course out the rear of the house was exceptional. Very close to a mall with everything you could need. Very quiet at night. The light rapid transit system was convenient so we had no problems getting to the embarcadero area with no traffic or parking issues. All in all an excellent place for a family vacation.

Great Vacation Rental
A friend and I rented this home for a trip to San Francisco. We enjoyed the decor and convenient location. It was an easy drive or Uber to various parts of the city, and there are a lot of shopping and dining options nearby. The fullly equipped kitchen and laundry capabilities were helpful. The home was uncluttered and clean, and clearly well cared for.

Vacation in San Francisco
Good information and communication before checking in. Home has a lot of potential but unfortunately needs to good clean and check of all equipment. When checked in found dirty cutlery and had to wash all before use. House smelt musty and had had not been aired. Dirty chairs. Lights in kitchen not working. This is unfortunate has wonderful location and has massive potential with a little attention.

Overall really nice just a few issues
Loved the mid century decor, beds were really comfortable, kitchen well stocked. Quiet. a few issues; TV room smelled really moldy, front porch smelled like cat pee. Might want to get a plumber to look at master bath shower , handle has to be tightened really hard to stop drips, but still drips a bit.

Great stay
Stayed for 3 nights while in SF for a family event. House was just as described and met our needs perfectly. Management was very responsive before and during trip. Our only problem was that we didn't get to stay long enough! Will definitely use again when returning to SF area.

Daly rental review
The house had everything we needed but does have a few things that need to be repaired. As stated in other reviews the downstairs family room really does have a musty smell. The dining rooms chairs are ready to break, the light in the kitchen over the table does not work and the dishwasher needs some work. Overall, if these items are fixed than the place is excellent to rent.

This home was a dream! It was very spacious and had all of the amenities we needed. If we ever visit San Fran I will definitely be seeing if this house is available.

Great location for a San Francisco trip
We are a party of five who stayed three nights in the house. The house is exactly as shown on the pictures. It was really clean and we found everything we need. The beds were very comfortable and it is a quit neighborhood. There is a shopping mall next to the house so you can get everything you want. To go to asan Francisco was easy. We drove our car to a big park and ride parking lot in Darly City (on Sundays and holidays parking for free) and use the bus. It takes about 40 Minutes. The only thing that could be improved is the backyard. And you definitely need a car. When we left one of us forgot money and her passport in the house. Special thanks to Jomar and Jonathan from the customer care who were really helpful. We got everything back.

GREAT PLACE TO CALL "HOME" IN THE BAY AREA!
While I had been to the Bay Area dozens of times before, I took both my parents (who are in their 70s) for their first time ever. This was the PERFECT place for the three of us to stay - with all the comforts of home. In addition, it is in close proximity to restaurants, stores, beaches, golf, etc., and a comfortable drive into downtown SF. I hope to stay here again someday!
