As far as conditions and excellent hotel stay, the cliental was sketchy. The smell of marijuana reeked throughout hallways and noisy throughout the night. People were setting in cars outside of hotel that were not residents staying there.

Clean but absolutely no frill or extras. No Continental breakfast, no vending machines no nothing. Everything about this hotel was dull, dry and boring

It was a pleasure staying at the Suburban Studies located in Chester, VA. The rate was competitively priced and the room was very clean and modern.

The property was in horrible condition, to be a hotel located in the heart of Chester this condition of this hotel was absolutely disgusting . The first room we got, there was dog feces in the room, mold in the shower, the ac/heater sounded like a rocket was taking off every time it turned on, there were burn holes in the comforter, the kitchenette stove eyes were glass and broken.We complained and were then moved to another room, which was infested with roaches and had MOLD in the bathroom and the fridge had mold in the seals. We were then moved to a 3rd room, we didn't even get far enough in the room to turn the lights on because the smell of urine was overwhelming as soon as you open the door. We were then moved to a 4th room with roaches, burn holes in the comforter, no batteries in the tv remote and you guessed it MOLD in the shower again. I requested a refund at this point, where the front desk attendant stated he cannot refund the stay unless it is within 50 minutes of booking. The rooms and building are outdated and disgusting, however they are remodeling the lobby. People hanging around the entrances and exits all hours of the day and night. Quickly found out that this is where Chesterfield County houses drug-addicts. Save yourself the headache and discomfort DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!!!! I have been to some crappy hotels, but this one right here....I would not waste your money booking here, I have yet to receive a refund for this awful experience from Expedia or the hotel

The hotel was disgusting. The room was infested with cockroaches, and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. There were people screaming at all hours of the night, and the amenities were old and run down. It was cleaner sleeping on the floor during my deployment to Afghanistan.

I checked in and got to my room and turned on the light and roaches scattering everywhere. Very dirty inside and out . It looks like a homeless shelter. Don’t ever go here.

I don’t know how to explain this place but this place needs to be condemned and or set on fire. I got checked in and got in my room noticed there was a big ol hole in the door where u can see straight into my room and the door wouldn’t even lock and u didn’t even need the keycard to get in you could just open the door and walk right in totally unsafe. Then there was mold under the kitchen part of the room the microwave was broken and the fridge looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in a long time with draws missing and the smoke alarm was taken down and hidden in the cabinet. The stove was broken and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Mold in the bathroom and the shower curtain was horrible and hanging on by only 2 hooks. There was writing on the hallway walls and trash everywhere the door to the second floor didn’t even have a handle. They gave me three different rooms to look at and one wasn’t even cleaned by the housekeepers the second one seemed like someone was still in the room the door wouldn’t even open and the third room had black mold on the walls and had a horrible smell. We didn’t even stay there the night it was so bad I did ask for a refund and they were more than willing to give me one. RUN AS FAST AS U CAN FROM THIS PLACE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY there are way better 2/3 star hotels than this one not ok especially if u have kids not a safe place to stay.

The stay was okay. I enjoyed the game room inside the hotel. I did not enjoy having to get my room changed out numerous amounts of times because the room keys did not work for my room. The rooms and hotel has a roach problem. My room however, was ok. But saw some roaches I had to keep killing. The television did not have clear service. I think the room need some major repairs to them. So I rate the room okay all together!

There was no carpet in room floor was dirty my feet was dirty..room had old furniture and no stoppers in sink or tub it gad drown stains on it i did not want to take a shower there

The worst, as soon as I walked into my room I left and lost a whole night worth. The hallways are king and light is so dim is scary. The smell wasn’t so great literally smelling like smoke and must. This hotel is best for Truckers and homeless people. Overall forget it, don’t even waste your time and money.

This property was unsafe. I actually stayed 2 minutes enough to have a man make sexual advabces in front of my children and to see the bathroom which had black mold going up the walls. The floors were covered in dust balls and no towels. It was ininhabituable. It smelled too. I left immediately and found another hotel. The man refused to give my money back and said dxpedia needed to handke it. Exoedia did nothing to handke it. This property should be shut down and reported. It is not safe and i wouldnt have a rodent living there. Talk about swallor. So disappointed in expedia for not taking customers safety as top priority. 😕

We ended up not staying here because the riff-raff hanging out on and in the property was questionable, the neighborhood looked less than great and the room was so bad (and nothing as described) that I don't believe I'd even let a dog sleep on the floor, let alone the beds. It was DISGUSTING AND GROSS and gave a feeling of being VERY UNSAFE.

Absolutely AWFUL!!! Didnt even stay for 5 minutes. Roaches all over the walls, smelled like cigarettes and piss, dogs barking and junkies walking around without shoes. DISGUSTING! This place should be condemned or burnt to the ground.

Property just off I-95. People loitering in reception area at 11 PM. Security door to my floor propped open. A/C in room did not work. Room dirty and in need of many repairs. Really didn't want to touch anything, so I slept on top of the bedspread and got up early without using the shower. One of the worst places I have ever stayed. Very inexpensive, so I guess you get what you pay for.

The check-in and check-out staff were courteous and prompt.
That was about the only good things about my stay.
We got in way late, or else we would have turned right back and canceled our stay altogether, but we were too tired and it was too late to find another place to stay.
We checked out first thing in the morning after our first night of the 3-night stay. The check-out clerk told us we needed to talk to Expedia about a refund.
Expedia refused to refund us our money despite the property being nothing - NOTHING - like advertised, and after much complaint, said they got in touch with the owners and offered one night's refund.
I expected Expedia to be a better advocate for its customers. I booked another place directly, bypassing Expedia.

It was noisy people covered in roaches nasty dogs barking in every room all night and day people have no respect there all noisy loud and a bunch of drug addicts hanging around and all you can smell is nasty weed don’t recommend this place for anything but to be knocked down

I arrived and was greeted outside with what appeared to be street women inside the lobby people sitting who seem to be there because it was a place to hangout the atmosphere smelled like drunks were bring used the room next to mine was filled every night with guess who were loud very disturbing.I would never recommend this hotel to anyone it needs to be cleaned or just say its not a place to stay if you need peace and quiteness.Everyone needs a place to stay but it also should be decent.

Pretty rundown, sheets had burn holes in them. When they made the bed they tried to hide it by putting the holes at the foot of the bed.

The hotel allowed pets, which was nice. However, apparently the cleaning crew doesn't know how to clean the facility after a dog was there. Dog hair was everywhere. Even on the bed spred. The floor was full of hair.. None of the hard surfaces were clean. Mold was visible in the bathroom.

Place is not clean at all. Carpets in hallway looked as if they had never been cleaned. If you have allergies to pets/dogs it is not the place for you. Last but not least, they do have a roach infestation. A wide variety of sizes of them too!

Not much to say. It’s a halfway house and literally the worst environment I have ever been in. I arrived at after midnight exhausted after 7hrs. Had I had any energy I’d have slept in the car on the highway. I’ve traveled all around the world including 3rd world countries and this takes the cake on another level horribleness

This was an awful experience. Filthy. Cockroaches running up and down our walls. When we came out I thought there were pebbles for mulch but they were cigarette butts. Disgusting. I have never complained like this. I should have run but it was 1 AM. I should have read the reviews. I wont make that mistake again.

Roaches everywhere. Dead on the walls, dead on the floors. Just crawling everywhere. I think it was blood on the bathroom door. Some graffiti on the other side on the door. It was bad.

Upon checking in, the staff were arguing really get in front of us. The place was filthy in the lobby. We walk down to our room and we had to enter right by the dumpster. There were 4 people sitting on lawn chairs on the ramp, 3 garbage bags in hallway, carpet was stained looked like vomit. Trash EVERYWHERE! In our room the toilet didn’t flush, trash was left in chair that never got cleaned up from prior people. Cigarette burns on mattress and spread- I requested a non smoking room. Flies in room, windows were dirty like juice was on them, paint peeling, floor was sticky, place was disgusting! Online said it was a 3 star hotel! We drove 5 hours there and demanded a refund back! Never ever stay here!!!!
