This place is a dump. It should not be listed on hotels.com. the smell was offensive. I don't how people can breathe in there. We had to open our suitcase to the the building. The smell was so bad, we walked out and forfeited what we paid. There was no way we were going to stay there.

Beds were not comfy. Smelled of smoke.

1st there are two emerald casino hotels. If booking here you are at the fife location. This location is in the center of the casino so you have to go through a tsa like security experience each time you enter. Room was clean and spacious. Coffee maker didn’t work. There was a 30 minute fire alarm at 1230am and despite there not being a fire and security staff on our floor we were given no information until we asked and they said we could go back to our room where the ear piercing alarm went on for 15 more minutes. Front desk staff was unapologetic when I checked out and gave an update on broken coffee maker and asked the procedure on the fire alarm stating “it just went off.” Restaurant upstairs - tatoosh - was amazing!

If you are into staying the night in an ashtray, this is the place for you. To get to your room you must walk through a smokey entrance with slot machines impeding your way to the lobby, your luggage must be scanned like your at an airport, so dont carry a pocket knife or you'll be returning it to your car. Hopefully, you didnt take an airport shuttle to get here or you'll be throwing your knife away you had in your checked luggage. Also, you can’t smoke in the rooms or you'll get charged, but who knows how they would tell since it smells like Al Capone is standing next to you with a lit cigar!! The EQC Fife (which even the staff said is like an old folks home) also has no table games, so be aware of that if it's your thing. Don't worry though you can drive 4 miles to the newer EQC Tacoma which is just a cleaner ashtray. There is no place you can go that you can't smell smoke, even in the newer fancy Casino Hotel. However, parking is free at both, Enjoy!!

Not only were most of the staff that we came into contact with rude and unhelpful they definitely made it feel like they certainly didn’t want us there. Security searched our bags which was fine but they didn’t do it without making you feel like a criminal first. We were yelled at multiple times by security for minor things that they simply could have talked to us about. The rooms were wildly outdated for the price that we paid and our room smelled like someone had just eaten a pizza in it at the point of arrival. Not only that but none of the restaurants had food options that catered to vegans or vegetarians, making it impossible to dine conveniently. I would not book this hotel again based on this experience alone. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in my lifetime and never had an experience like this. It was very unwelcoming.

Staff clearly does not know the meaning of hospitality. Rented multiple rooms for work and my staff almost quick because of how the hotels staff painstakingly went out of their way to make my team feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. When I complained the manager who clearly is a big part of the problem refused to check us out with a refund and continued to watch as the security house keeping and front desk did everything they could to prove this place does not deserve anyones time or attention. Avoid this place at all costs. Even a motel 6 is better.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. With the security in the parking structure and at the entrance, gave me the sense of being safe.

Although an older hotel, it is well maintained and our room was very clean. The staff is friendly and we were impressed with the establishment’s noteworthy hiring of senior citizen employees!

The hotel we thought we booked is a sister to the one we actually got because we booked through our preferred site so we could get points and pay in Canadian funds. Unbeknownst to us, they divert all 3rd party bookings to the original older venue a few miles away. We got all our luggage to the front desk of the beautiful new Emerald Queen before we packed it all back out to drive the 3 miles to their original location. Then, the only way to get to the check-in desk is across the casino floor and the TSA style security clearance to get in is ridiculous. Opening my suitcases in the middle of a casino is embarrassing and dangerous. Anyone could be in there checking out our belongings. The signs all around the building say there’s valet parking and there isn’t, The hotel was clean but the Casino was grubby. Some strange noise all night outside our window like someone scraping a chair across a floor with a microphone strapped to it….every 20 seconds or so. The games were fun and the people are nice, but after a 10 hour drive thinking we were landing at a luxury venue, we ended up feeling like there were definitely better options. We won’t be back.

When I booked my room it was for two people. I gave my husband the card holder and key to come to our room later. When he tried to go to our room he asked the front desk how to get to the rooms. The lady looked up our reservation didn’t see his name and wouldn’t tell him how to get to our room. My husband doesn’t use a cell phone which I know is hard to believe but he doesn’t have one. So needless to say I found him wondering around the casino because he couldn’t get a hold of me to come to our room. I will never stay here again! The lady was rude every time I interacted with her.

I never in my life smoked anything. I walked into the hotel/casino and oh my god, I almost coughed up a lung with all the cigarette smoke in the casino and check in area, just gross. The front desk made a very big fuss about not smoking in the room. I was thinking great at least the rooms are not going to smell of cigarette smoke. Wrong, there was a faint smell of cigarette smoke and the hotel was old so the ventilation must not have been very good. If you like cigarette smoke this place would be good for you. If you don’t smoke avoid this place.

When I booked the reservation, it said there was a shuttle to the other casino where the concert was. When we checked in we were told there was no shuttle. That was the reason we booked there. Not COOL!

The simple fact that Tacoma has a Emerald's Queen, and Fife has a Emerald's Queen...but when you put in Emerald's Queen/Tacoma into a search...you only get one option. Add or change the name of one of them, so as not to confuse the customer. Four miles difference, but very confusing.

You can still smell old cigarettes in the “non smoking” rooms.

I always enjoy my stay, but especially this time because the room has a tub shower and I was having a lot of trouble with my back, so being able to soak was an extra I appreciated since I don't have one at home.

I booked this hotel because it was close to where I was going for a business meeting, and I have found that generally Casino's have nice rooms. Room was OK. Nothing special, but it was clean and had what I needed. Here was my problem and why I would never stay again. You had to show your ID and go through a metal detector to go into the casino, this means that if you have luggage and you have anything metal you are going to have to open all of your luggage and let them go through it. Even my purse, because it has a metal handle had to be searched. I had a small pocket knife in my purse that I use to open packages and such. I either had to take it back to my car or let them have it. Did I mention it was pouring down rain, and the car was 3 stories up in the car park. If I had known this was going to happen before I went to check in I would have done the same check I do for airports, but there was nothing on the site, and no signs in the parking areas telling you that your bags will be searched. I am all for safety, but you need to let your customer know what they are going to have to go through to stay in your hotel.

Only casino i havebeen to that has metal detectors at every entrance. Pain in the ass to have your id out everytime you come and go from your hotel room.
