Driving thru and truck broke down so stayed for the night. Dirty and run down. I would suggest you stay something else. Spend a little extra and don't go to any of three local cheap hotels in this area. Live and learn.

I left early on wed morning. The floor was dirty, there were roaches everywhere. The smoke detector started going off every 30 minutes at 430 am as if there was a fire. The bed was old and uncomfortable. I expect a full refund from my stay. Very disappointed.

Motel 6 has really slipped since Covid. Many of their locations are getting run down and worn. This one has issues with transients nearby, flys in the room, aroma of cannabis in the lot. Skinniest mattresses I have seen. Used to love Motel 6 and their pet policy. Not anymore

I reserved a handicap room and when I got there, they tried to put me on the second floor. this would have been fine, but they have no elevators at this motel (I am in an electric wheelchair). They changed rooms for me and then changed the price of the room from $66.00/night to $90.00/night (we were going to be there for three nights). Then I got to the room, I went into the bathroom to make dure that there was a shower stool in the tub. To my surprise, I found a cockroach climbing up the bathtub wall and flies all over the place. I turned around and went back to the office and demanded my money back. We went down the street and stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Springfield, MO. There were no problems at the new motel and the cost was $66.00/night.

Check in was friendly and professional. TV was hard to turn on.Room had many roaches. Bed was clean and comfortable.

I booked three nights, however, I left after one. The staff are top of the line and the room was clean, the issue is the section 8 people who are LIVING at the hotel full time. They are bringing roaches to the property. I had to have my smoke detector replaced around 2am, it happens so that's okay. The issue was when the maintenance man took the old detector off the wall and the roaches came out from the wall. I also saw some on the shower curtain. I observed that the hotel has "residents" living there. It was easy to see due to the personal items they have in their windows. I asked if it is a multi-use property, and the staff said yes. You have got to get these people out of there. They are destroying the property with roaches and there is very little the staff can do to combat this without getting rid of the tenants. If this goes to corporate, please help them make the property a place that guests aren't getting refunds for, due to vermin.

Roaches

Room was freezing cold, no hot water to shower or wash hands. No working heater. No mini fridge or tv remote. No lamp shades. Beds stunk and sunk in middle and are falling apart, no comforter, thin blanket. We couldnt get warm and froze all night. Pillows were lumpy. Worse in middle of night after air shut off, ROACHES AND SMELLED OF ROACH SPRAY. We are experiencing breathing problems now, everything we brought in room smells like roach spray. We deserve a refund, after driving 10 hours straight we were not told about roaches or terrible condition of room. Even had roaches on ceiling. Health department should shut them down. Just praying at this point we didnt pick up lice or bed bugs too. Almost $80 for a room in hell. Morning clerk was ill tell manager about roaches, i told him we both know they already know.
