We arrived really late and there was a strong smell as soon as we entered the room. We booked a one bedroom suite with two washrooms, the smell mostly is in the living room, we suspect the carpet has been urinated by pets previously. It was unpleasant for the night. We went the next morning and asked to either switch to another room or they need to come up with a solution to clean it, we had to leave at 7:10 am and told them we will be back at 9:00 am for them to provide a solution. Meanwhile we had them inside to smell it and told them feel free to go in and assess the situation. At 9am when we returned, the front desk switched staff, no one was aware of the situation, we had to start all over again with our situation and finally they cleaned it. Feels like the carpet needs a deep clean as it’s very outdated and the communication channel was broken and we are frustrated that we had to spend so much time during our vacation to deal with this. The pull out bed was not clean, sheets were not clean. One washroom had tiny water stream in the shower while the other one has super strong show water stream. Not a place we will return

Front Desk Staff is friendly and helpful! Room wasn’t ready when we arrived but front desk offered to store our perishables. Room and front hall Renovations and pool retile are very appealing. Great coffee and amenities! Very quiet room and comfortable with everything we needed.

Great location in Solana Beach at a good price. Friendly staff. Good coffee and tea bar. The grounds are a little dated… But the rooms are clean and comfortable. All in all a great value in a good location.

The Winners Circle Resort is a great venue with lots of amenities at a great price, especially for del Mar. The rooms are massive with a nice patio and kitchenette. The bed is comfortable and the AC is super cold. The staff was also super helpful and nice. Will definitely be staying here while I'm in town.

Love the pool, jacuzzi, deck, barbecues and picnic tables. The room has everything. Very small but has everything you need. The bed was too soft and room upstairs. No view

Overall, we loved our room and accomodations. There were very specific incidences that lowered our score overall: 1. The pillows appear to be plastic balloons or something on the inside. The filling inflates to a ridiculous amount so both me and my gf had the back of our heads pushed upwards which meant cramping our necks and interrupting our sleep constantly. The pillows were so hard and tall that it required me to push my entire upper body against and to rest my head against the top ridge of the pillow to sleep ok. Just a basic target pillow would've been better. The worst sleep I've gotten in years. 2. Upon first entering our room, there were a small amount of ants and a crane fly in our room. They left the balcony windows open in both the bedroom and living room so it's likely they entered this way. Good thing we entered our rooms immediately after it was cleaned or more insects could've gotten in. Thankfully (after careful checking), there were no ant trails or anything like that. It seemed to just be 4 scouts looking for food in the bedroom, on the bedside tables. Other than those two major complaints, everything else was perfect. The whole room was clean (especially the carpet and bathroom) and we appreciated how clean the fridge was. No smells in there or in the microwave either. Just please, please get more comfortable pillows or recommend for guests with a preference for thinner pillows to bring their own. Yours, when compressed, was like sleeping on solid rocks

What a nice surprise this place is, you can tell it's older but they have updated the rooms, the pool area and it's a gem. We were on the second floor and our room was lovely, 2 bathrooms and a one bedroom. We had dinner next door at Red Tractions and it was great too. We walked to the fair right across the street. Location is great.

Nice & pleasant area. Easy access to transportation. Free parking. Toilet clogged & the shower had some issues.

This would have been a perfect review if it weren’t for the woman who checked us in. Not only was her tone extremely rude, it is highly likely this woman gave my girlfriend (and possibly me) Covid. I noticed she might be sick moments after she started checking us in. I moved as far away as possible while still maintaining polite behavior. Later, I passed by the front desk, where she was telling another staff member how “everyone was getting Covid.” This tells me she had been exposed. I felt compelled to chime in and ask if they had Covid. The other employee said “no, she’s just sick. But it’s not Covid.” What?! Why was this woman at work if she was obviously sick. She was congested and coughing up a storm. It turns out, it probably was Covid, because my fully-vaxxed-and-boosted girlfriend just tested positive after two days in bed. She has the exact same cough I heard from this woman multiple days during our stay. I have been pumping my immune system, quarantining at home so I don’t get sick and lose thousands of dollars if I can’t work this weekend. I hope the property manager will look up my reservation and take appropriate action with this employee. Feel free to contact me.

It's well equipped and maintained for our family's needs. We enjoy the hot tub and swimming pool. The location is quite convenient in the middle of Seaworld and Legoland.

Full kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, wine glasses, coffee pot, toaster and microwave. The gym was nice and clean. A lot of parking spaces and it was free. Free coffee in the lobby. Property was clean and quiet. Washer/dryer available and free. Restaurants in walking distance. Wholefoods and Starbucks 5 minute drive away. The only thing we didn’t like was bed and pillows are very soft so I came home with a bad backache.

Excellent hotel well designed lots of relaxation and activity options we loved are stay here also near some nice river and lagoon trails staff are friendly good rates in the winter and through Expedia highly recommended

I enjoyed my stay. Great location and nice 2 bathroom suite with a patio. With that said the place needs a soft goods refurb. Old bedding,carpet and old, cheap looking furnishings. Its a time warp back to the 90s. I would stay there again after the refresh of the property! Overall, I enjoyed the stay.
