Gorgeous room in the tower overlooking the bay. The staff was lovely. The location can’t be beat. Great linens and hair products. I will be back.

Second time staying here. Last time we stayed in a garden room this time we stayed in the tower overlooking the bay. Great views, comfy beds. Our room was large-some furniture was a little worn, but didn't bother us at all. Great hot tub (whoever is in charge of music in that area A ) nice location and we happened to be checking out the day of crazy rain and some flooding in the city-staff was very nice and helpful.

The catamaran was absolutely amazing in so many ways, but there was some room issues that I didn't love. We did a couples massage at the spa - it was so relaxing and efficient - my deep tissue massage was so great! The spa bathroom and steam room was my favorite. However, Our room shower was so poor, it was loose at the faucet hookeup and would shake and make a loud noise every 30 seconds or so. The TV had a supposed casting ability but it wasn't connected to the WiFi and we couldn't figure it out so ended up watching boring cable. The beds, balcony and cleanliness of our lil kitchenette and double queen bed room was so awesome, I just wish I didn't have the shower and tv issues. The property was gorgeous, exclusive bay access and a nice restaurant with room service! The room service was so amazing that it was dangerous lol we wanted to order it a ton. I absolutely loved the open lobby with the beautiful wildlife and little ponds. I was so happy with so many things at this resort, but I don't want to have to travel with a laptop just to watch TV. I wanted to use the spa instead of use our bad shower and felt like it could have been way better in our room.

Really enjoyed the stay at the Catamaran Hotel. We stayed next to the pool and was easy to walk to around the beautiful grounds. Great location and less than a 3 min walk to the beach. Only issue was that some of hot water ran at out times and the shower head had about half the nozzles plugged but this didn’t impact the overall stay which was great!

This was the perfect place for a family reunion! There was plenty to do and the food was excellent!

This is our 2nd trip to San Diego and our 2nd time staying at the Catamaran. We love it here. This time, we brought our 6 year old grandson and he loved stopped to visit the birds on the property and killing time in the free arcade. The service was quick and friendly when we requested additional towels, soap and bottled water. The staff was accommodating when our return flight was cancelled and we couldn’t get another for 12 hours. They gave us a pass card to hang out in the pool area or arcade as well as holding our luggage secure, while we waited out our flight time. We will always recommend the Catamaran.

I booked at Catamaran a room in the tower because it had a kitchenette and ocean view and bay view. So they put me in a room with no kitchenette and told me this was an upgrade. It was not—I brought food to cook had to order roomservice—they said tower was under construction but there were people staying in clearly in those units… so I won’t be staying here again—because I felt they were dishonest and when I immediately called on waking into the room…(to which they should have moved me to what I had booked for) I was told this is a way nicer room. No it was not— No ocean view—brought a small microwave but since had no dishes no anything not much good. I do not complain—I felt told to like this and when customers book specific rooms they want that room…..bedroom was no view and bay view was ok but second floor and very loud. Because outdoor groups meet on the lawn… in the tower it is less noticeable. It was disappointing to be told rooms were unavailable only to clearly see tower units with people staying in them in the very room I paid for and booked…I did not and would not have booked the room they chose. I chose the room we needed when I booked and it should have been what booked! Nice place we are locals and usually we love it. This was not great—so Humphreys will get out business.

Beautiful resort walking distance from the pacific beach.

Property and location is great! Service was excellent. Rooms could use a renovation. My only issue was that I was in the hallway behind the front desk. Anytime a door closed, most often the front office door, it SLAMMED shut. So loud and it echoed down the hall. I laid in bed for about an hour and heard a door slam shut over 25 times. They could really use new doors that don’t slam shut. Also, one of the employees whistles at night. It’s pretty loud as the rooms are not so insulated.

Resort Facilities are great especially when you are with family such as pool, free arcade, easy access to beach Builds and rooms are quite out dated and old. So felt it was expensive for overall quality. They had extra resort and parking per day which was approx $90 per day

I will stay again and again i loved it

Toilet was clogged. Maintenance couldn't fix until we checked out. Without a working toilet.

Everyone was friendly & welcoming ..food was too pricey & limited - would be nice if there was an inclusive option for meals of some sort..

I would like some less expensive eating options and free bikes to use.

Great holiday activities, beautiful property, wonderful staff

Front desk supervisor was very rigid, not at all suited for her job. Could have been accommodating & chose not to be. A young woman who is embarrassingly condescending. I own a design travel company & assuming she, Cynthia, still works there I will not recommend this place for my business study groups. Otherwise the property is beautiful & all other staff very nice. But this person made it impossible for us to stay there

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Catamaran Resort in San Diego, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the staff, and the check-in process was seamless. Room amenities were disappointing and was surprised to see the low quality brand of tissue and over all cleanliness of the room. In room Coffee service had already opened sugar/creamer packets. Was there we large holiday party on a Friday night and all the outdoor seating and fire pits were turned off at 11. Left to sit in the dark on chaise lounges without cushions.

Rooms are very dated, feels very late 90's. The bathtub drained slowly and burped up sandy water as it did drain, so standing in the remnants of past showers was gross. There is no central control to the AC/room temperature. The TV was a 45 degree angle to the bed. The refrigerator is in the closet. There were light bulbs that needed changing. There is zero class to these rooms. Dated, dingy- had more a Travel Lodge vibe than a "4 Star Resort" We're local to the area, so the touristy amenities just weren't enough to overcome such a wanton disregard for the modern hotel experience. Do yourself a favor, get a nicer room in which to be comfortable, and uber to your attractions.

I was disappointed that you had to pay for parking. Of course when you make a reservation at a hotel in California there are very few places you can get local transportation, so they automatically know you'll be needing to get there by car. You shouldn't have to pay extra to park your car.

A motel disguised as s resort!! While the grounds and the location are beautiful, sadly, the room was subpar! I was given a Tower room on 7 th floor. The room was very dated and the bathroom was deplorable! Bathtub was stained black inside from previous anti skid material; chipped tiles and stained/peeling wallpaper. Floor was dirty. Bathtub kept backing up during showers to above my ankles. I finally noticed the drain was extremely clogged with gunk and hair! Safe in room did not lock. Dried blood stain on my sheet. I reported this to front desk staff, who told me rooms were in process of being Renovated from the ground up. Excuses! On my last night, the power went out from 9:15 pm til 6 am. Guests were not notified of the problem. An alarm also sounded at 4 am and I was unsure if it was a safety issue, like a fire alarm. Again, no notification as to what was happening. Should I evacuate?? A little unsettling being on the 7th floor in the dark! When I questioned the front desk as to the issue, they basically brushed me off with, sorry, we weren’t here when it happened. I requested my “resort” fees be waived as I did not use the facilities, but was told everyone pays them regardless. Really? It’s November. Not everyone is there for the “resort!” If so, where were the beach loungers? I stayed here during the pandemic, and also had an issue with the cleanliness of the room, but attributed it to lack of staff. I can see not much has changed!!Also, there was no
