Nice hotel and rooms. very chaotic check in , room snot ready at check in time, then staff didn’t bring key ( we had 2 rooms) then couldn’t find the reso, then I was sent to chase to go back and find security who had gone to the empty room with the keys. Felt very disorganized service wise but otherwise good hotel.

Loved our stay! Location and staff were excellent. Room has very unique details and was super comfortable. We plan to return!

Disappointed. The FG used to be special - the coffee and biscotti delivered to the door and the wonderful breakfast buffet were so classy. Now its like any other hotel and not worth putting up with the paper-thin walls of an old building that lets you hear everything your neighbours are doing. Also, I have been spammed relentlessly on my cell phone each time addressed by a different name.

Never disappoints! A wonderful weekend away on our staycation. Top of list for next year, but with Ten Spa mixed in next time!

Love how everything was clean and the room was great.it was very quiet and the very friendly staff. Overall it was an amazing experience.

Staff took the time to listen! They adapted for a smaller diet with a young teen. I felt I could call at any time for assistance if necessary.

The property is not worth the price I paid. Architecture is very nice but convenience wise it’s not worth it. Jo toothbrush or toothpaste, slippers inside the room. And also the pool is located at such an inconvenient space that after swim people have to go through a gym, to get access to the hotel

Didn’t care for the pillows. Maybe some that are a little firmer.

I love the charm and atmosphere of this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaints were that there was no fridge in the room. We had to garbage our restaurant leftovers, which was unfortunate. I also wish there was a top sheet and comforter, instead of just a comforter. Other than that, a great stay, it was clean, comfortable, and charming

Beautiful hotel with lots of heritage

When staying in Winnipeg I always choose the Fort Garry. It is conveniently located and the staff is courteous and expedient. It may cost a bit more than some of their competitors but it is worth the extra money. Strongly suggest to anyone unsure

For the prices the hotel charges, the rooms should be upgraded to a much higher standard. As things are, we are paying for the hotel's history, not for up-to-date facilities.

Overall, great place to stay. The staff were super helpful and the service was top notch. The place was full of history and it showed in the decor. Please check out the spa on the 10th. World class service close to home.

I visit Winnipeg to meet my son, who arrives by train from Edmonton once or twice a year. We stay over night and then drive home to Minnesota for a visit. I then bring him back to Winnipeg to catch the train home. I look forward to these visits, and the night at the Fort Garry is a large part of the pleasure.

Stayed here during the Christmas season for a concert and sister sleepover. Parking is easy but you pay extra.check in was easy and efficient. The room was clean. Lovely beds and bedding. Complimentary water. Nespresso machine in room. This hotel used to include coffee brought to the rooms in a carafe and served on a tray. Truly one of the little luxeries that made this place great and since being discontinued is sorely missed.Great bath product L'Occitaine. The tubs are old and not in keeping with the upscale brand .as well toilet paper is single ply and not up to standards of such a lovely hotel.the heat was pouring out in all parts of the hotel . In the room it made it very hard to sleep. The thing that made this stay so great was the exceptional staff who were happy and welcoming. It has been a long time since this level of service has been so noticeable. Every single staff thanked us for staying there and welcomed us . Fantastic!!

Going through Winnipeg and decided to treat ourselves to a night in a castle. The staff are all wonderful. The rooms are amazing - both beautiful and comfortable. We slept very well and enjoyed an amazing breakfast in the Oval Room. Definitely a wonderful treat for a traveller! .

Neat hotel, loved the old look everywhere

My wife and I stay here every year around Christmas because it is a magical place to be. This year was less so. Our first night, people were running and yelling in the hallways till 1:30am. Dogs were barking till late and the staff were nowhere to be seen. The next day, housekeeping skipped our room and we didn't find out till we returned late. The services are lacking now too. You have to pay to used the pool now and they have gotten rid of the incredible breakfast they used to offer. Overall, we were disappointed. This was not the stay we were expecting and have previously experienced.

Fantastic hotel, great stay & service

The hotel is spectacular, very beautiful. The only problem was I was not provided with information on the parking and ended up paying for the parking in the reception AND on the parking exit.

The mattress was terrible, very lumpy and uncomfortable. The room had no fridge for beverages. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Thank you for such a lovely stay. Hotel look majestic from outside and inside both. Excellent dining options. Had a couple of amazing breakfast at their restaurant. Elizabeth was helpful and smiling. One suggestion- they have ballroom on 7th floor, so room on 6th or 8th floor might be noisy if you are looking for quiet room. Will stay again for sure.

The Fort Garry is just so grand. It takes you back in time, but with Yuk Yuk’s in the basement.
