Disappointing stay. The room was small, the door was not sealed properly and we could hear road noise all night long. The slamming of nearby doors was horrible as well. There was no indoor community space to sit and talk or play cards. It was all outdoor and the weather was not conducive. The dining room would have been nice, but they locked it after breakfast. Thankfully we only stayed 2 nights, but I would never stay here again. Final night was the last straw when I felt a bug crawling on my face waking me up. Disgusting!!

Our suite was perfect for our family of 5, spacious and the pullout coach was a lifesaver. The beach was a 5 minute walk away and breakfast was great. So happy we booked this hotel!

Great place with plenty of breakfast options and if you get a top floor facing the water - there’s a nice little ocean view. The place was clean, the staff were friendly and there are plenty of eating options all around. Good place to stay if visiting UCSD. Walking distance to a rocky beach. Walking running path near the beach is nice. If you need to do your laundry- Turquoise street laundromat is nice and the owner very friendly and welcoming. The pool and hot tub were nice too!

Our stay was good, the bathroom & jacuzzi were very clean, not so much the living area & the small kitchen area. Staff were very friendly.

Everything was great. Decent breakfast for a Holiday Inn.

Great location

Our experience was excellent. We arrived about two hours before check in and they allowed us to do an early check in and upgraded us for free to a studio instead of a standard queen. The room had everything we needed and the breakfast was also excellent. It was conveniently located near lots of restaurants in La Jolla and walking distance to the ocean. All of the other major sights were all within about a 20 minute drive. The pool and hot tub area were also very nice but unfortunately the weather was not warm enough to take advantage of them. If you want to stay in a reasonably priced place in La Jolla, I would recommend this Holiday Express.

This property is a hidden gem. Close to downtown La Jolla and the beach. Walking distance to the tide pools. The rooms are spacious and clean, pool is great. Came with family as a pit stop on our way into San Diego and we will definitely be back. What a great little place.

Very unique hotel. You have a choice of a conventional hotel or cottage.

The GM Roli was the one who checked us in and was WONDERFUL. She is a service pro...not like most these days. The place was really great too.

This hotel was wonderful. It has plenty of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion for however many Beach trips you want to take. The staff is friendly and quick to respond. The pool area is clean and heated. The pool heater wasn't working one night and they had maintenance fix it within 10 minutes.

Rooms are about as big as a closet. Were rude and very unfriendly. I would not recommend this to anybody

They could not find my reservation, I had to pay for 2 rooms, luckily they had 2 rooms available.

The suite was exactly the room for us. It was big and mostly clean, although there were clearly places that needed a more thorough wipe down. The shower drain was also very clogged. We stayed two nights, but housekeeping didn’t come to our room after the first night, which was disappointing. We would stay here again.

This property is very nice. The rooms are spacious and clean, and you can get somewhat of a peek at the ocean on the top floor. Parking is free! Breakfast is standard and decent, and best of all, included. The grocery store and the beach are both less than five minutes away, and there are plenty of scenic spots within 15 minutes, like La Jolla shores beach and the scenic coves. We will be staying here again.

Excellent stay

Enjoyed our stay at la jolla holiday inn and suites. Room was very comfortable, bathroom & shower was large and very clean. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. So many items to choose from.would definitely return and stay here.

Run-down property. Needs a lot of work. Sound proofing non-existent. One if the worst designed bathrooms I've seen.

My wife and 6 year old child decided to have a little getaway. We chose this hotel because of how centrally it’s located. Upon checking in, they realized that the AC wasn’t working in their room. They politely asked if someone can take a look. A maintenance worker came and said that the problem is specific to the room and that they should move to a different room. Upon moving to a different room on a different floor, they had the same issue. No AC. The person at the front desk told them that the hotel is full and that this is a hotel wife issue. They were offered fans to keep the room cool and was asked to open the balcony door for some fresh air. Remember, she was with a 6 year old kid, opening a balcony door wasnt a good idea. My wife checked out the following morning and asked how can the hotel make it right for their experience (the room was hot and uncomfortable to sleep in, despite having a floor fan). She was told to call and speak to the GM. We called the following day and I got a chance to speak to the worst manager I’ve spoken to. A lady who was totally rude and unprofessional. Basically called my wife a liar and said that there is nothing she is willing to do. The GM told us that the hotel had plenty of rooms that night and…. Most frustrating part… the AC issue was only in a few rooms. Most of the rooms did have AC that night. She mentioned that my wife was offered to move (for the third time) and declined which is totally false. I will never stay at this hotel.

The GM & staff were welcoming and helpful, even offering upgraded room when we checked in. The property was beautifully landscaped. The Courtyard tables let us visit and picnic with local friends. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well. Very nice stay!

This is our second visit. This is a well maintained hotel. My favorite room has been the one by the pool. They have a heated pool and jacuzzi. Parking is easy.

Absolutely fantastic! We could walk to the beach from the hotel.
