Stayed there in order to attend events associated with Birding Week. Great location, walkable to good restaraunts, and nice walking area, very safe. Staff was good. Rooms were good, although in need of a refresh. Biggest complaint was windows, I like windows that you can open to let fresh air into room. Hotel sits next to river and lake and was deprived of fresh air.

I had a very nice stay at this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. They serve a hot breakfast with a view of Lake Erie from the dining area. Check-in was quick and friendly. I was a little leary of being assigned a room so close to the lobby. I thought there might be too much noise throughout the night, but it wasn't a problem. Sure, you can hear guests in the hallway during the day, but guests seemed compliant with the quiet hours after 10 am, which is most important.
To sum it up, this is great value for your money. They exceeded my expectations. I would stay here again.

Over a nice, clean no frills room for a solo one night stay. The desk staff was awesome at both check in and out.

Mostly very good. The breakfast was less than expected. There were no forks for two days we were there. I’m guessing forks could have been procured relatively easily at WalMart or other store.

Walls are very thin and you can hear conversations from the hall and units next door as well as outside train noise in the distance. Beds are comfy, great shower pressure and temps, decent breakfast and restaurant next door. Plenty of parking and close to Vermillion, Sandusky, Cedar Point, and Kellys Island.

This was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in a lot over the years. We stayed in room 102 and immediately after walking in were hit with the awful smell of cigarettes and an overall old and musty smell! Every light was shorting out and there were stains everywhere from the carpet to the bedding. In addition when you turned the sink on there was a foul smell. The shower was filled with mold both on the curtain and on the actual shower handle. The room location terrible and right next to the lobby so there was constant noise and for as much as we paid for a riverfront hotel we were placed with a parking lot view which was disappointing. We went to breakfast one day and there were hardly any options of really gross food for hotel food even. Overall stay was a 0/10 and would not recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Comfort Inn. It was a very convenient location with beautiful views. Even though it stayed busy, it still seemed like it was quiet and we were able to get a good night's sleep every night. I like that breakfast was served till 10 am. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast area was always well stocked and clean. We plan to stay here again.

The check in took like a half hour due to them being unable to find ours or our friends reservation. The room, elevator, and second floor smelled like stale cigarettes even though it’s a non smoking hotel. Curtains had brown stains on them like someones smoked in there for years.

Very limited to breakfast same items and no rotation. Fruits were never disposed of even if they were squishy and over-ripened. The sheets were not changed until after we left on the fourth day.

Nice place right on an inlet from Lake Erie. We arrived late on Labor Day and were just passing through.
It took a little while for A/C to adjust to our liking. The room fridge wasnt very cold and needed to be defrosted, even though there was no freezer. Run-of-the mill breakfast the next morning, sausage patties were barely cooked and eggs weren't much better. There is a good coffee shop about two blocks away.
Not a bad place, I'd stay there again if I ever have to be in that area for anything.

Everything was nice, clean, and comfortable. Perfect place to rest after a Long day at Cedar Point with the family. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Except the waffle maker which had no Pam spray and seemed to take forever to cook.

I was nervous because of reading reviews, but we had an enjoyable stay. The breakfast was good. The room was average. The water view was gorgeous. The restaurants in the area were really good. We would stay here again.

Very nice area around the property. Hotel check in was two hours late - wasn’t able to check in until 5. Drain in bathroom sink didn’t work, no fan in the bathroom so steamed quickly. Hair dryer did not work.

Excellent price and very clean! The swings were nice outside and pavilions with grills were convenient for easy access. Being located on the lake was breathtaking and beautiful scenery on the property. Everything was within walking distance and motel was located in a safe neighborhood! We will definately return for another visit!

This hotel had the friendliest front desk staff. Our room was a nice size, clean, and the beds/pillows were great! It's an older hotel so the bathroom was just ok. We had a room with a view of the river but it would have been so much better if we had a small balcony to sit on and watch the boats go by...especially for $300 a night.
