Great stay at a family run Motel. Rooms are clean and facilities well maintained. Front staff was great on check in and equally friendly on check out.
Don’t expect modern rooms but the WiFi is strong enough to Netflix or work on a spreadsheet. Beds are comfortable enough, pillows could use an upgrade they’re pretty soft. Will stay there again,
Rabbit Ears has become my go to in Steamboat.

Great for a weekend getaway. Very close to downtown. Beds and pillows could use an upgrade. We upgraded to a riverside room which was nice!

Highlight of my trip. Friendly and helpful. Above and beyond kind of place. Location was great. Right on the Yampa trail for my running, and 100m from both hot springs.

It’s a historic hotel that had its furnishing updated. The people who worked there have made a very warm and comfortable atmosphere.

The receptionist was so kind and helpful. I’d just broken my ankle and she made sure I was on the first floor, opened doors to get to my room, brought me a bunch of extra pillows to elevate my leg, and gave me large trash bags and duct tape to cover my splint so I could shower. Couldn’t have asked for more kind and compassionate service.

The room was small, but there were enough flat spaces and drawers that we had room for most everything. The staff and service were extremely nice! The breakfast was nice and were were allowed to bring our own lactose free items. We had a very nice stay at an iconic hotel in Steamboat.

Our stay was wonderful! The room was clean and had great vibe. It was very conveniently across the street from the town hot springs. I love how they have the hotel swag. I'll definitely stay here again!

Our bathroom was updated. Carpet and bedding need to be updated. Bed was surprisingly comfy. Great place to stay if you are fine with all of that.

I really want to like this motel, but our last stay there was a little odd. The room itself was mostly good. We had a river view and a little outdoor porch. One could tell it was a pet room because of the torn fabric on some of the furniture. That was not really a big deal to us.
However, one night the latch/safety lock on the inside somehow locked when we closed the door. The younger workers at the front desk did not seem to want to be bothered with helping us get back into the room, but alas, they did pull out some kind of special tool to open the lock.As promising as this sounds, they did not seem to know how to use the special tool because they spent 15-20 minutes trying to comprehend the directions After coming up to the room and fiddling with the lock tool for about 20 minutes, the dude finally just kicked the door in and walked away without saying very much of anything. For the remainder of our stay we had this broken chunk of wood with exposed nails at the front door. All and all, it's not a bad motel, we just had a weird experience.

This motel is perfect for travelers going to Steamboat! You can leave your car here and take the free city bus which picks up right next to the hotel and drops off just across the street. Or if you want to drive, the resort is under ten minutes away. The room was comfortable. The included continental breakfast was a nice perk.

This hotel is clean friendly and really well located. You are across the street in one direction from a grocery store and the other direction you can go the hot springs.
The red and express shuttles stop right out fro t and whisk you to the mountain.
We had a room with a bed, couch, micro wave and a fridge. All worked perfectly and were clean upon arrival.
Simple breakfast every morning and friendly staff for every question.
A gem, highly recommended.

Great location. We walked to dinner every night after skiing. Bus stop is right outside the hotel. We took it one day to ski as the roads were pretty snowy. The room was a great size and great amenities. We loved that there was a microwave and mini fridge provided. We were thankful for the discounted hot spring pass but honestly we felt the hot springs weren’t worth the price. Next time we are in town we are hoping to try the more natural Strawberry Park hot springs. Breakfast was the usual fare, nothing special. We would definitely stay here again and looking forward to coming back in the warmer months.

I love staying at Rabbit Ears (1) to support local business (2) location/location/location and (3) cost. It’s MINIMAL accommodations do the trick. It’s a NO FUSS kind of place. Like Mayberry and not updated since, but it does the job and I’ll be happy to stay there next time.

The room is very tiny. But it’s walkable to downtown—which is great. Lots to do! You also get discounted hot spring tickets—which was very nice. Our bathroom had been updated—which was nice.

Can walk our dogs along greenway trails and streets while feeling safe. Beautiful linear park along the Yampa and quaint but also modern street shops and excellent dining choices.
