This is BY FAR the worst experience at any "hotel " I've booked online. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed that this was even an option through Expedia. This property is filthy. Sheets, towels, floors and all in room surfaces were sticky. The room smelled like mold. We were in Stephenville for family weekend where our son goes to school. I would have gladly spent teuple to stay ANYWHERE else, but this is a very small town and everything was booked. Three lamps, one lightbulb. Front desk said it would be at least 24 hours before maintenence could "fix our complaint"! No AC on the 2nd floor. Pool filled with dirt. DO NOT STAY HERE! I will be writing the corporate office as well as the health department. We had to clean the entire room before. We also had to go buy blankets and pillows to make the space acceptable to sleep in. Disgusting.

Awful service! Never received an email confirmation of our reservation so no email confirmation no booking right. Well seems like they just went upon themselves to charge our credit card and not send any format of confirmation that we indeed had a booking. Then they declined to give us a waiver ...this place has horrible customer service! Money hungry! Charging peoples accounts without them staying at their place

This hotel was infested with bugs. The bugs were in the rooms, hallways and outside. Also the bedsheets were not in good condition and the towels that they gave us were dingy. If you plan to stay here, I would try a newer hotel in the area.

DO NOT stay here. This hotel is absolutely disgusting. There's crickets all throughout the hotel. On the main level, the hotel doesn't look as bad. There are pieces of wall that have chipped off, and pieces of carpet that are coming up that they haven't fixed, but the downstairs hallway area is immaculate compared to upstairs. Our room was upstairs. Halfway up the stairs it got hot and started to smell. In the hallway area upstairs there is no a/c. They set up an oscillating fan every 50ish feet that was is no way helping. The carpet in the hallway was disgusting. Stains all throughout, looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in years, if ever. Dirt, trash, dead crickets. When we opened the door to the room, there was a stool shortly after walking in with either a poop or blood stain on it. The bed probably hasn't been replaced since 1962. There's no cushion left it, it creaks and sounds like it's going to collapse under you with every move you make. The bedding has burn holes all throughout and various stains. It says they have a pool, they don't. It's been filled in with dirt and concrete, everything about this place on their website is a lie.Every other hotel was full because it was Tarletons graduation weekend. But we could not bring ourselves to sleep there. We ended up booking a hotel 30 miles away just to get out of this one. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

The bed was hard as a rock. The room has roaches. The ice machine didn't work. The key didn't open the outside door.

It was was easy access and available for a fair price however was not pleased with the cleanliness of the facility or the room. There were crickets alive and dead everywhere in the room and hallways. There’s no pool as advertised. There’s no breakfast as advertised. Will choose another facility next time.

This place is about the same level as all the other hotels in this area, even the more pricey ones. If you check in early enough, sometimes you can get a room on bottom floor, which has a door that goes outside. Just make sure your inside door is unlocked because your room key only opens the inside door!

Upon checking in, we were given a key to a room that was not cleaned. Towels were still on the floor and the bed definitely used by someone prior. We received a second key to another room and when we walked in it had a definite aroma of smoke and body odor. When we started to take a bath, there were only two towels for the four of us. There was one pillow on the each bed that was so thin you could almost see through. I returned to the front desk and asked for more pillows, and was informed that they weren’t sure they had any. Finally after waiting over 10 minutes, I was given two pillows that were lumpy and rock hard. My daughter went to the front to get more towels and the wash rags that we were given were stained and nasty. I felt that the room should have been cleaned better overall. Also, the pool is filled in with dirt and there are weeds growing on the dirt. Walking down the hall l, the carpet is stained and has not been cleaned. Overall this was the worst!!

The property looked good in Expedia, Expedia is only the middle entity so nothing on Expedia but this property. As soon as we came in to the hallway is was dirty and unkept. When we open our room is smelled like an old home. Roaches were crawling around the dresser drawers and floor. I booked this room for three days but I asked for refund after first night. Expedia was very helpful and returned my money within days. Do not stay in this hotel only to save money, your health means more than money.

The floors were dirty. The halls smelled terribly. The phone was broke. All the ice machines wer broke. The beds were uncomfortable . The people were rarely at front desk. Only 1 towel, one facecloth and hand towel for 2 people. Overall bad experience

Didn't like anything about it! One of the worst motels I have stayed in. The card key did not work on the exterior door! The bathroom sink was about to fall off the wall, only the pipes were holding it up. Said breakfast was included but none that I saw. Room numbers were not easily visible from the outside. Sound proofing was terrible from both hallway noise, adjacent room noise and road noise

Only option for a last minute need. Stained carpet, room sofa. Old & worn furniture. Bed passable. 3 flat as a pancake pillows. Bathtub coating peeling. One hand towel with hair! One washcloth. Sticky floor.

PRICE WAS GOOD.

Room was nice, bed was excellent, but outside noise was bad. Roads I can deal with but loud people talking outside until 4am.

Great stay

The front entrance was nice but the rest was not good. The smell was not pleasant, the towels were dingy, the bedding had holes in it and looked to be chewed up by something. The light fixtures had roaches in them.

Well to being with it says smoke free but yet it smelt like pure weed the entire time I was there then the room was nasty the first room they put us in the bed was broken and the heater didn't work so they switched us rooms then it was even more dirty it also had no shower curtain and only 1 pillow in it just over all nasty and disgusting will never go back

It looks like they were attempting to remodel the property as the outside and the lobby look just a little newer. Staff was OK and helpful! Once you start to walk down the aisle it just stunk like smoke. Went into my room and it smelled worse. The bed did not appear to have been made. The odor was so bad that it caused my wife to have an asthma attack while inside. The staff was helpful when we explained what happened and assisted us.

The room was nice. We were only given 2 towels, that were stained with holes, but overall, the room wasn't bad. There were people outside our room drinking and playing very loud music. We out up with it and tried to sleep. We were woken up at 1am with very loud neighbors. We finally called the office at 3am. They only offered to move us, not to ask the neighbors to keep it down. We packed our things at 3 am to move to another room. We only slept for a fee hours. Management didn't seem to care much, they just laughed it off.

The sink did not drain in the bathroom Blanket and comforter were stained and very well worn. The hotel has no elevator to the second floor. There is no pool or hot tube. The pictures are very deceiving.

This hotel is not as advertised. Our bed was broken and everytime you moved it made a horrible cracking noise. The room was not very clean and linen looked used. The hallways looked like they had never been vacuumed or cleaned and smelled terrible. There is no pool, it was filled in with dirt. At 9am there was no breakfast available as advertised. Everything was molded, outdated and unclean.

It was ok. I picked this hotel because it was close to the college. Check in was easy the staff was friendly. The first room they sent is to was still dirty so they had to give us another room and that room was ok. The tv in that room however had to be reset by the staff. Also there is not a pool like the pictures show but we did not care

Pictures provided on site were deceiving. Hotel looked pretty run down. Will not recommend or stay in the future.

Upon my arrival the man at the desk was very unhappy at my late arrival. I had to ring the bell twice and he came from the back and didn’t say a word to me. He proceeded to silently check me in and hand me my key with a piece of paper with room number and WiFi password in it. I asked if there was an elevator due to my large luggage and he looked at my suitcase and said ‘no, just stairs’. Upon entering my room it was damp and smelly. There was half a pistachio shell on the bathroom floor, the main area had another large stain on the flooring. The trim in the closet area was missing leaving a large hole. The refrigerator was filthy with a red liquid that had dried on the bottom. There was a phone on the table but it was connected to wall and, in fact, did not even have a phone cord attached to it. The door latch was was very loose and would’ve easily been pulled out of someone wanted to push their way in. The bedding was stained, the tv remote was melted in a spot and the shower curtain was horribly stained and moldy. Finally, the pool and hot tub that is advertised and pictured is false. It has all been filled in with dirt. I specifically booked this hotel for the pool and hot tub offering for me and my family I was visiting to enjoy. It completely made for a horrible experience and a waste of money for my first visit and I will not stay there again. I have also advised other family members to not stay there when they visit.

This was one of the worst hotels I have ever been too. The toilet seat completely broke off. No pool. Chips/drinks were stolen by the room service. Everything was falling apart and absolutely disgusting. I wish I would of had the money to stay elsewhere.

Picked a room with a pull out bed. It was disgusting. Blood on the sheets

It said in ad swimming pools, hot tub all filled with nothing but sand, said they had gym not true, said had breakfast didn't happen. The guy at the desk was rude. I paid money and did not get what i paid for. I should be paid back my money.

The sheets had not been changed. Pulled back covers and a lighter in one bed and dirty cotton balls in the other. No safety latch. No breakfast.
