We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt House Herndon.
We arrived late at night but were greeted by Dwayne at reception with a welcome smile and lots of information.
The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable and the amenities were excellent. Air conditioning/ heat worked very well.The staff who cleaned the room did a really good job and replenished anything we needed.
Breakfast was a great choice which changed every day, so it was good for longer stays. Everything was nicely prepared and the staff worked hard to keep everything available and make sure everywhere was clean.
The hotel seemed to be well maintained and was quiet at night, so we slept well.
On site laundry was a bonus as it saves going out to find one.
Every member of staff we met was polite and helpful, especially Dwayne.
Top marks to Wanda, the manager, who came to greet her guests personally and made sure everything was going well. She also helped out in the breakfast area, which could get really busy. She helped guests with whatever they needed and even made someone their waffles. We thought she was great!
All in all, our stay at Hyatt House was made even better by the people who work there. Thank you to everyone we met.

Hotel clean and every member of staff from front desk, bar, maintenance and housekeeping all very friendly and accommodating. Smoke alarm started chirping in our room and it was late so no maintenance but within 20 minutes we were in another room.

The hotel is well set up for short-term as well as long-term stays. My wife and I lived there for over a month after we had sold our house and found all the amenities we needed. The staff was very helpful and nice, making us feel welcome every time we entered or exited the building. Any wishes we had were promptly attended to. Breakfast was the highlight of he day, with a large choice of dishes that changed from day to day. We have already made a booking with the hotel for our next stay.

Hyatt House is typically my go to hotel. We were very unpleasantly surprised when we got to the room and saw we were put in a room that was not the room we reserved. You could tell someone must have lived in this room awhile as it was very dirty. The kitchen had broken cabinets and they had trash shoved under them, the walls had something that looked like poop all over it and the bathroom tub leaked the entire stay which was more then annoying. The next morning we went to the free breakfast and while I was in there making a waffle an employee came out turned off all the lights and locked me in the food area. She did not let me continue to get the food i was getting and instead asked me to leave and then invited all of the housekeeping staff in so they could eat. This was a waste of money and a terrible stay. NEVER again would I stay here

Great stay. They have maximized their space in the breakfast area to include a bar and a shelf of children’s games and a business area. The only downside at breakfast was there was no syrup except for sugar-free.

Bartender was lovely, desk staff was helpful but not on the same page with each other. Area is very quiet and seems safe, very close to public transit. Room was clean and comfortable

I walked into my room and immediately realized it was not the room seen on the ad. When I told the staff it was not the room, they said "Orbitz misrepresented the room because they (Hyatt) rent it as a one bedroom". I was charged $140 additional dollars for the room i thought i originally thought was my room.

Friendly, helpful staff. Nice clean room. Well-equipped kitchen. Excellent wi-fi. The only downer was terrible noise from the road work at night.

Very good amenities, ask for any of janitorial stuff and they will provide. Good breakfast. everything was available in our room (with a side kitchen) for our 2 weeks stay.

No ice machines and the ice maker in the freezer didn’t work. Kitchen smelled moldy. Signs said bar open and complementary snacks 4-6. Not offered at all. Phone didn’t work- couldn’t hear the front desk.

The AC was out of control. It would sometimes get very hot and sometimes very cold. The paint was peeling on the ceiling. The TV controller was not working and unfortunately, there was no Youtube. The pillows were uncomfortable, and the sofa bed mattress was worn out. One of the showers' water pressure felt like nails hitting me. The bathroom sink was tiny. There were so many light switches and we had to figure out which switches did what.

Great experience staying here. Staff was friendly, bed was very comfortable, AC worked without issue, temperature in room was great. Pillows were great, shower was great, love the shampoo dispensers, would return and stay here again. Thank you.

Very nice hotel- The room seemed like a small apartment. Minor things- There are no tables to place drinks or laptops on unless you sit at the kitchen counter- a weird complaint, but something I missed on a business trip where I would have preferred to have a table for my drink and laptop while I watched TV on the couch. The AC unit in the bedroom was super loud - It not the average AC unit in a hotel- I think it was behind a closet type door. I was also surprised how much I could hear in the hallways and also multiple toilet flushes and showers running throughout the evening. Just didn't seem like something you'd expect from a Hyatt- not major- but woke me up a couple of times.

Breakfast was very lacking. Potatoes were still cold / watery, bacon often overcooked and eggs patties (premade and steamed). BBQ area was also lacking with only onebbq that qas poorly maintained and broken in sections. AC unit in room was very loud with extra noise when kicking on. Room was clean and staff friendly. Kitchen was equipped ok. No menu system on tv, so you need to channel surf to find something to watch. Laundry was good on second floor.

Stayed for 3 days with wife and daughter. The hotel and room are very clean. Quiet location. A couple of traffic lights away from food stores and other shopping venues and restaurants. Staff friendly. Breakfast is adequate. Price is unbeatable. Would definitely stay there again in the future.

The hotel is very nice. The grounds an pool well kept. The only problem was they did not have bedding for the sofa bed. I asked 4 times for bedding. I was told the hotel was full and they didn't have any bedding. I was not asking for extra bedding just a pillow and blanket for the sofa bed. On the 3rd night I finally received some bedding. If you plan to use the sofa bed you may want to bring your own bedding. My first 2 nights were pretty bad.

I Like the area, the rooms were very nice and comfortable. the front desk was informative , knoweldgeable and also helpful. the rooms were clean . The breakfast was perfect.

Stayed in the 2 room suite. The Exhaust fans in both bathroom were falling out of the ceiling and one of the bathrooms had mold in the ceiling in the shower from a leak coming from the 4th floor. No room service unless you requested it. Also pool was not safe to swim in for our first 2 days due to chemicals not being balanced in the pool. Other than this the room was very spacious and quiet.

It's a very good value for money hotel. The breakfast choices are good. The pool area is nice too. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen area has everything you need including a dishwasher.

Hot continental breakfast with some day to day variety. Helpful staff. In addition to pool and exercise room has basketball court for those inclined. Room a comfortably suite with seating and kitchenette. Metro access a medium walk away.

Room was great. Comfortable, clean. Free breakfast was excellent. Outdoor pool was really nice and water very clean. It didn’t open until 11am which frustrated me. There were towels by pool, lounge chairs and umbrellas. Very pretty. There were trees overhanging the pool deck that were dropping messy berries and flowers and they were everywhere. On the chairs, tables, cement…. Property should have wiped down the chairs and tables each morning. Some leaves were brown and glued onto surfaces so they had lain on chairs/tables for days. Gross. We didn’t have any issues with our reservations. We did however, see a lot of people at the desk over our 5 night stay who were arguing with desk staff and having issues. Sounded like it was very mismanaged and reservations lost. The workout room was huge.

The front desk staff, restaurant staff and cleaning staff were very nice and friendly. The room was clean and the bed mattress was very comfortable! We stayed two bedrooms, the rooms layout is excellent. We will stay again.

This was the only hotel I could find with an outdoor pool - it was 90 everyday and I was glad to not be cooped up in AC all day long.

Was in town for a 3-day/2-night stay. Our room was available for early check-in. I initially was not too keen on having a 1st floor room but it was awesome and easily accessible to the gym, breakfast, and the exit doors. The breakfast was amazing with lots of options. Nice gym!!! Also, I did laundry before I left and the laundry room was well kept. Room was comfy and clean and location was perfect! Will stay again! Also, Allison at the front desk was kind and funny!

One major issue we had with our rooms was the Air conditioning. We had to keep it at 50 degrees because the fireplace wouldnt turn off. Most of the time we were hot and at night we were freezing and my son now has a cold for that. Also the placement of the fridge and the oven. I couldnt fully open the oven which made for a difficult time when were were cooking for Family night.

Allison was great at making our stay a very memorable one and checked us out with ease. She made sure our reservation was ready after our long drive. Suzana provided a speedy check in. Sean and Alex made sure to answer our questions before and during our stay. A home away from home. Our 2 bedroom suite was very comfy, spacious, clean had all the dishes utensils and fridge space needed. All the TVs were working prep properly. It was great to come back to our apartment after a long day of touring the DC area and Old Town. The property is very dog friendly. Breakfast was great ands abundant. The pool was open during our stay but it was raining so didn’t use. Excellent stay overall! Will return. Thank you Hyatt Herndon team for a wonderful stay! Keep up the excellent work!
