Best Western Palace Hotel & Casino

Location

When you first arrive the outside appearance of the hotel is terrible. Paint peeling off, name letters missing, and plaster falling off. However, all the public areas are excellent internally. I had a standard twin which was fine, although the shower was quite old and inflexible. The beds were very comfortable and so otherwise the room was fine. The sea view makes it!!!!! I stayed 6 days, so I felt my room should have been refreshed more than once, but that was a personal gripe. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. All the staff, without fail, were excellent. Cheerful, helpful and seemed content, which seemed to filter down from the management. So, would igo back? With great pleasure!! Perhaps close your eyes tother outside first impression and then enjoy the experience.

Staff all very friendly and very helpful.room was clean and comfortable albeit set up as a twin ( understandable given the TT visitors at certain times of the year ) , only let down in the room was the shower over the bath , not very powerful and with a narrow bath the shower curtain stuck to you , plus and this does irritate me is grab rails and soap dispenser are always in the way , why put the soap dispenser on the side wall , stick it on the back wall next to the shower ? Plus grab rail on the wall should be further back towards the rear of the bath as I can't believe it's any use to someone with mobility issues where it is ? That aside , the looky bar was good as was the food , staff excellent. The paragon restaurant, we used only once for breakfast which was excellent, plenty of choice and again Staff excellent. On the last night we dined in the Chinese restaurant downstairs and that was excellent, great value and staff excellent again and without doubt the best music playlist in the background, organised by the young lady behind the bar. Plenty of parking covered by CCTV . Overall very good just the shower in the bathroom let it down.

The sea view was great, the breakfast was as good as you get and the staff were friendly and very helpful
