My wife and I recently enjoyed our first visit to St. Croix. It is a fascinating island with so much rich history; we made sure to explore the sights at Fort Frederik and Christiansted, and took in the beautiful views at Point Udall.
The Buccaneer Resort is a lovely property, and overall, we had a good stay. The atmosphere is very quiet, the breakfast buffet was excellent, and the drinks at the beach were fantastic. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming.
However, there were a few areas where our experience didn’t quite meet expectations. During our dinner at The Terrace, we found the staff to be quite slow and inattentive, even during a slower period. Regarding our accommodations, while the room was generally fine, the beds were quite firm, making it a bit difficult to get a comfortable night's sleep. Additionally, we were disappointed that the air conditioning stopped working entirely on our final night.
While we enjoyed the beauty of the resort and the island, we hope these service and maintenance issues can be addressed for future guests.

Amazing free breakfast, however, budget your tips. The resort charges and automatic 20% tip on all purchases. But I have to say that it is well deserved based on the quality of service.
The restaurants have great food. However, they all have different schedules and can be confusing at first, so you should actually read the materials provided at check-in.
The service around the pool is not efficient but it is friendly. And the beach area is neatly kept.
It is a great romantic destination. However, there are plenty of activities for the family.

The staff was terrific. The room service was amazing and so was the daily housekeeping! We cannot wait to return! The Terrace dining was the finest dinner experience we have ever had!
