I was in Kamloops for a course and only needed the room to sleep in and it suited my needs perfectly. The breakfast was much better than I had expected….And the price was right !

The linens were stained and beds not properly made . There was black hair all over the floor of the bathroom and we are two blondes!
The wallpaper was peeling and the beds were old and need replacing
There was a rave in the bar below and sleeping was not easy

Adjoining rooms with a shared bath worked well for our family. Hot breakfast was included. We also received drink vouchers for the restaurant.

Good value stay,
Cleanliness was a bit rough, but staff was nice enough to give us fresh linens on request. There was a large piece of fried chicken in the stairwell. It lasted the night so that's a good sign no vermin.

The front desk was nice but the room was not clean at all. My shower had a used bar of soap and hair in it. The sheets are stained. Base boards are filthy. I told the front desk about the shower but nothing was offered for the inconvenience. Will not recommend or stay here again

We are having a very lovely stay. Check in was easy, parking close by. The hotel needs new mattresses and pillows, but it's clean and just good enough.

There was makeup on my pillows when I arrived. I wasn’t offered any type of compensation for that.
I was told there is parking but there is about 10 parking stalls that belong to the hotel and the other options is $20 a night for parking.

I found it to be a but run down and dirty not my cup of tea...the restaurant food was good and the bar but the overall stay was horrible we hardly slept due to the fact we could hear the bar and the next rooms over

This historic hotel is nicely renovated while retaining its old charm. The rooms are well provisioned and the beds very comfortable. The attached restaurant and bar and downtown location make this hotel a great choice for a stay in Kamloops.

I have been working out if town here in Kamloops for 3 weeks. The crew and I have been staying at the plaza. Location is prime, walking distance to save on foods and multiple restaurants and bars. Hotel is charming with an old school feel. A huge shout out to the very friendly and accommodating staff!. 5 star treatment, An absolute pleasure after a hard days work. This is my place in Kamloops, affordable comfortable and quiet. Stayed in other hotels earlier in our trip but glad I found this little gem.
Walking distance to the YMCA with passes included with the stay. This is the spot.

Very cold, stains everywhere, ripped lampshades, a bed slanted so bad it would be a acid reflux nightmare. Didnt stay longer than 20 min. Thankfully they owned another property slightly better that i was transferred to.

Checked in fairly late after a 10 hour drive to a very dirty room. Stains and “crusty” chunks of things on the bedding. Walls had smears of dirt. Bedside table had sticky substance on it. Bathroom was disgusting.
Was too exhausted to complain that night and slept in extra clothing to not touch anything and told staff in the morning when I checked out - they didn’t seem to care and just said they’d tell housekeeping. No apology. Even showed photos and videos.

What a shame as this used to be a beautiful property. It’s now dirty, shabby, drug users shooting up in the parking lot and incredibly noisy. We had to pay 8 dollars a day for parking and didn’t see one security guard the entire time we were there. We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to the hospital, and based on the fact we remembered it being fully restored and renovated several years ago. Sadly, those renovations were not maintained. Another downside, no maid service the entire time we were there. We could have asked at the desk and insisted on it, but sometimes it’s just not worth it. On the positive side, the breakfast was better than average as far as free breakfasts go and the attached pub had excellent fries.

Age of the building and history is cool. Bathroom wasn't very clean, mainly the tiles in the shower.
The parking lot is beside the building. You have to pay 8 bucks for 24 hours and the lot is sketchy and there was broken glass in a lot of the spots. Was definitely worried about the car. Parking should be free.

Unsafe parking. Room was absolutely filthy. Did not feel comfortable staying here. Asked for a refund. No refund was offered, no manager present for four days in a row. Gave up trying to contact the hotel. Had to find a different hotel in the same night. Extremely disappointed. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

I love this old hotel. Its been updated but still keeps some old charm. The only minor complaints are slow draining water in the shower and the breakfast offered could use an upgrade. Other than that staff is awesome and kind. Location is great and central. We will stay again.

Very cool old hotel. Awesome location. Clean. Parking beside the hotel is very tight & small. The room had a blue very bright flashing on & off light (I believe it was the internet hub?) mounted high up on the wall (so not easily covered up) that made it incredibly hard to sleep.

The staff have been so polite, hard working, and chatty. Im really impressed with the cleanliness and positive atmosphere.

This place made me feel unsafe. Homeless people all over the place, coming into the hotel, sit and sleep on the chairs inside reception. I ended not staying there.
