Older hotel out dated. Room was fairly clean. Not a bad place to stay for the price.

Furnishings and amenities on the old side, but otherwise clean and well kept. Friendly staff.

Check-in went great and the staff was friendly. The AC in our room wasn’t working properly and when we woke up this morning, we were shocked to see several roaches scurrying around our room. Despite the easy checkin, friendly staff, and reasonable price, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t want to worry about taking uninvited guests home when they leave.

The room was horrible! Ceiling tile was water stained, entire large chip in paint, everything was old and unclean. This was the worst hotel room i have ever had. This room has absolutely no redeeming qualities, old, dirty, broke down. I can't believe it cost $80..... would NEVER recommend.

I just needed a place to sleep for the night I got there about 10pm and left at 6:30am. It served the purpose but it was definitely a old run down place. The desk person was very nice and check in and out was simple. Breakfast left a lot to be desired but hey for less than $100 a nite you can’t expect to much

Beds were comfy and the bathroom was clean. It was a good deal for the price.

The location is obviously old but it doesn’t need to so nasty. We had to wear socks at all times to include in the shower. Terribly nasty, we will never return.

We arrived on 09/01/23. Found that our unit had no hot water in the sink, but hot water in the shower. On Saturday morning we went for the continental breakfast at 7:30am and everything was gone. And no one seemed to want to replenish. When I talked with the girl at front desk, she was so lazy, and uncaring. We will not be returning to this hotel.

Overall, the room was clean. The seat to add height to the toilet bowl needed to be better cleaned (provision in a handicapped room)

Very nice and helpful staff. Room was clean and welcoming!! The prices are amazing. I truly wasn’t expecting it to be nice due to the price!! Definitely my new place to stay when I go visit my daughter!!

I actually stayed in Albemarle NC not Edenton.

I should have requested a downstairs room when making the reservation. My mom is handicapped and it was difficult getting her up and down to/from the 2nd floor.

Staff was nice BUT this hotel does not live up to name (Americas Best). It is in need of a renovation. For the amount paid it did not have the value.

The property looks descent outside but inside is a different appearance. The staff gave us a room with paint peeling off the wall. The carpet was wet and mold on the walls. Why would you place someone in a room like this? The staff did change our room. Still was not great, but better.

The area, landscape and lodge are very neat and make it pleasant for a walk. The staff are extremly kind. Even though later finding out the associate was indeed struggling inside... yet she maintained her proffessional composier. Even when i ran into a problem with my room she was really kind about it.

Photos on internet both from the "Inn" itself and through Expedia were misrepresenting. The conditions of the room were poor. The mattress was POOR, towels were threadbare, condition of the room very poor - peeling paint, patched walls, mini refrigerator barely working, sheets threadbare.

Rented room #118 Carpet was filthy, and the bed had bedbugs, also smelled bad. Been here a lot of times before and never had a problem. Also someone was trying to come in at around 12:30 A M. Got scared didn’t have my gun. Never will go back. Don’t rent room #118

Our room was not satisfactory. We had to kill lots of flies to be able to sleep. The plaster was falling off the ceiling. The room was hot when we got there, but the AC worked very good. There was no breakfast bar as the cafeteria was closed and they did not give us a voucher for food. The office did not open on time.

The hotel was in a convenient location. It was nearby food places, grocery store, drug store and shopping areas. Guests services displayed excellent customer service. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. I would recommend this hotel to others.

The location was good. They are currently in the middle of a remodel so things aren't as great as they could be. Due to renovations, the continental breakfast is closed. This is one of the reasons we booked at this particular hotel.

Great for a quick stay close to the water! New mattresses are comfy! Older but clean! Plenty of parking and hook ups for boats!

The staff were excellent. All of them were helpful and understanding of our particular needs. Being two grandmother's traveling with a toddler we were a challenging group. The front desk staff were the best I've encountered since covid began. Thank you all for making our stay great.

There remodeling so it’s dusty. The frig was not working. Quit and lots of eats you can walk to.

The sheets were stained and replacement sheets were stained. Staff was courteous. They ppear to be trying to remodel at least the lobby. Huge disappointment!

Unsure if the sheets were really cleaned. Stained blankets. Putrid smell in the room. AC unit barely worked. Hummed all night. Advertised w breakfast. At the check-in were told that was a mistake and there will be no breakfast.

Like some of the other comments said..i got a non smoking room but room smelled like smoke ,mattress was torn/ripped..bathroom was just ok..shower curtain needed to changed..oh and t.v wasn't even clear it was like watching it with an antenna..only stayed because i was out of town 7 hrs away and the Hampton Inn was booked..this town only have like 2 hotels to choose from..never again

This place is so gross! When you pull up, it looks abandoned, totally beat to the ground. It smells bad! There's mold. Buggers wiped all over furniture and walls. I walked in the bathroom, and there was clear as day, a huge amount of a man's EJACULATION on the corner of the shower and wall, still fresh looking like they just left the room I was about to stay in. The toilet was broken. The front door lock was broken. Just stay away from this place!!!
