Room was disgusting, I had no choice but I’d never stay there again

I reserved a handicap accessible room on the Motel 6 site. On check in I was told that they had no handicap accessible rooms! The room that I accepted had a queen bed that was comfortable. One of the three lights in the bedroom did not work. The light above the bathroom sink did not work. The tv worked well but there was no remote control. The shower was acceptable but there were no grab bars and the shower rod was bowed outward, making it dangerous to use to steady myself. There was a gaping hole stuffed by what appeared to be a brown paper sack where the front wall joined the side wall opposite to the side farthest from the door. I was concerned that vermin might enter the room through that hole. I would report the conditions to the local health authorities if I were not 81. I have stayed at many motels include Motel 6 and never in my life have I encountered such an abysmal room. I stayed because there was no alternative available to me.

This hotel you definitely get what you pay for. Bring your own toiletries!! Lucky for us i always pack just in case. We were in a crunch and the hotel was available so we booked it. Honestly, its very sketchy at best.

The Motel 6 can be hit or miss - I've had a string of hits, so decided to go simple for my overnight before an early morning flight. Clean lobby and very kind woman checked me in. Two keys later, she put me in another room because the key fob didn't appear to be working. I headed to the second room to find stained sheets and a TV not working. I drove back to the lobby to try a third room. I opened the door to find the room filled with someone else's belongings. Finally, the fourth room seemed promising. Minimal stains on the sheets, no bed bugs, fully functioning TV. For a 6AM flight, you don't really need much. For me, it's just disappointing that the owners/property managers allow this motel to exist in this state. Outlets were pulling out of the wall; there were missing light bulbs; the toilet seat wasn't cleaned; chipping paint from most surfaces; stained bathtubs and moldy caulk; HVAC unit was falling away from the mounts; the beds had a blanket and two sheets - real minimal for November. Alas, no one bothered me and I didn't wake up with any mystery bug bites. Neighbors quieted down around midnight, and I was glad to head to the airport very early. If you have zero standards, this is the motel for you.

Place seems sketchy from the outside (of course, this is Philly so it is what it is) but it’s quite nice in the rooms. Doors locked and I felt totally safe. Staff was incredibly helpful and the place got the job done

I kept stubbing my toe going into the bathroom because it wasn’t even with the floor. Room was very clean. Front desk and shuttle driver very kind and helpful

It’s a guy walking around with a knife and our room is not clean plus our tv don’t work

I checked in around 5:00 pm and checked out at 6:15, I tried to stick it out after learning that the WIFI (even the one at the front desk computer didn't work); there were no hangers in the room; the tub frightened me; the first roach was crawling on the floor. The straw that broke the camel's back was the two roaches that I saw crawling on the bed!

I felt in danger the entire stay in fact left before first night completted.

Let’s just say it’s motel 6 and they left the light on, you get what you pay for. On the bright side the lady at front desk was great her name is Dawn and she’s a sweetheart.

Bath door doesn’t lock, smoky room and not even microwave in room.

I did not have high expectations

Gave us 3 different rooms before finding us a clean room or a room that someone wasn’t in, found a room it was disgusting still wouldn’t recommend not even for a one night stay.

It smells like cigarettes and the water stagnates in the tub.

Close to airport, good for only 1 night stay

This trip was part of a trip to Philadelphia for surgery. The room smelled like smoke even though we requested non-smoking. They tried to find another room for us, but, it smelled like pine cleaner over smoke. I have asthma and this was just not acceptable. We decided to cancel after the first night and go elsewhere for my recovery after surgery. We checked out about 0930 am after the first night. They did refund the money for the remaining nights. Also to their credit, they were refurbishing the rooms so that, although the floors were dirty (black hair clumps on the bathroom floor behind the door which did not close), the hotel and room were freshly painted. Also, the noise in the room above us was unbearable until about 11 pm and began again about 2am.

I truly enjoyed my stay and love the cleanliness of the room. The only bad thing I will say is that my toilet was clogged up and they did not have a plunger. While it might be a major issue for some people, it wasn't for me. I will definitely stay there again!

The tub in my room was not clean. I did not shower. A huge cockroach walked into my room under the door. I had to keep my lights on to sleep. I kept all of my things up on a shelf. It was noisy and even Dominoes wouldn’t deliver to that motel. The man who drove me to the airport was very nice! He was the best thing about that place

Nice quick and convenient

Rooms are dirty, has flies, bugs and spiders inside. They didn’t even clean the rooms. The sheets are wet etc etc

There were flies and insects in the room making it impossible to get a good nights rest

Location was very close to airport, did not feel safe ,room was not clean tv didn’t work I look at 3 rooms before I could decide to keep it . This place looks like place where they house homeless people . If I had stay in the airport for that 10 hrs layover it would be better .

Noisy, limited receptacles, bathroom door warped (not able to close), limited towels, room strong smell of smoking, bed board loose and hitting wall, mattress not good, no refrigerator-tv-microwave, dogs running around above room for hour or more at 1AM, walls thin and could hear next rooms, etc
