This was our second stay within 5 days at this hotel. We were really disappointed that each time the pool was closed. It's really an upscale hotel 6. Breakfast is lackluster and was the same both days. Toast and scrambled eggs.

It was amazing architecture! It surprised me how much the deposit was! Haven't got it back yet. Thought I paid in advance too!

Nothing stellar but did the job

The front desk staff were very helpful. However, I did not enjoy my stay. The property is old and doesn’t look maintained. I know this is only a 2-star property. The breakfast is not a full breakfast. You get a small plate of food and if you want more, $5. Food was…okay…I would not stay again.

Staff were all great! Very friendly! Hotel needs updated, but it was pretty clean! This place has potential to be an awesome hotel but needs TLC, i would stay here again

The building is old and they are working to update it. Pretty good price for one night stop and great location.

The young ladies at the desk were having a personal conversation when I approached. They didn’t acknowledge me so I waved my ID and she said “you have to wait she using the computer”. While waiting the girl with the colored contacts is playing music on her phone with profanities. Very unprofessional. My room card had to be reset every night. She never asked to verify who I was. Terrible security. And then the last night my AC made loud noises starting about 4:30. Didn’t even bother to address it. Was happy to be leaving.

Toilet leaked, sink leaked, and lights were dim around the property.

It's been refurbished and there isn't a construction.That's still visible but it's been refurbished and that's nice

Sleep was quiet

The back doors were propped open. It seemed like this place could be frequented by sex workers. That could easy slip in and out. Our door was knocked on in the middle of the night. Smelled like musty old cigarettes. Clean room, clean bedding. You get what you pay for. The pool fence is not sturdy. Avoid with toddlers.

Nice rooms and staff was,very helpful

Our stay was barely okay. We enjoyed the heated, indoor pool, and the breakfast included was pretty decent. Staff were friendly. However, the property is badly in need of updates. Some of the exterior doors were propped open our entire stay, which defeated some of the security measures. There was no option for filtered water except for purchase, even at breakfast. Also, pool ours were supposed to be from 9am-10pm. We were woken up at 4:30 am by loud talking and splashing. We believe staff did eventually ask those guests to leave the pool, but the damage was already done.

Hotel was old dingy and had an old muggy smell. Felt very unsafe as the rooms had large windows free acing the lobby which was old and outdated.

Has always been my favorite stay in Amarillo for economy and convenience. Seems it has improved a bit since under new management.

Loved it perfect for family vacay! Huge place and tons of restaurants around!

Hotel is worn down. Toilet kept running all night. Leaky faucet, shower rod about to come loose. No air circulation, felt very muggy even with fan on. Carpet strands sticking out. Ceiling fan did not work. Room has a lot of light switches, but most of them didn’t work. I do not recommend the breakfast bar. Room was clean and friendly service.

Nice aging Hotel

Very clean, friendly staff and quiet. Lighting subdued and beautiful in dining area and outside . Very reasonable price. Have great breakfast in morning

Shower didn’t drain so by the end your standing in several inches of water. Black painted low ceilings in the dimly lit rooms make it feel creepy. Won’t stay again.

Loved our room, bed was comfortable, water was hot, breakfast was okay. Check in was easy & staff was welcoming!

The first time I stayed at the property I had a great experience. This time began well with a polite and accommodating staff during check in. I asked for a late check out and was told no problem. In the morning the cleaning staff began knocking shortly after 10am. I told them I had a late check out. They began knocking again about an hour or so later, which was annoying as a needed extra time, which is why I asked for the late check out. I opened the door, told the cleaning lady I had a late check out and closed the door. A few minutes later my room phone began to ring. At this point I was feeling harassed, so I didn't answer it. On my way out I politely told the front desk clerk I was checking out of my room. She immediately became rude, demanding answers from me. Told me she didn't know I had a late check out and that I should have called her to tell her. I explained that I was told by the night staff it wasn't a problem, at which time she accused me of having an attitude and told me I could "Get Out of her hotel". Completely unprofessional!

Really good people and quiet place

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for the weekend just to get out, it was very very good for the price. The breakfast was good, the people were nice, and the room smelled clean. I did have some troubles with the TV but with a quick talk to a lady upfront, a man was sent to my room and fixed it in minutes. overall, it was a good experience and I would stay here again
