Cozy. Most comfortable bed I've ever been in. Fireplace in the room creates a wonderful ambiance. Very romantic place. Decent restaurant.

We stayed at this expensive B&B but on Tuesday and Wednesday they have no services. They offered us yogurt and berries and croissants on Tuesday and Wednesday am. No other breakfast. On Wednesday am. They didn’t even had berries and the croissants were stale from the day before. They are rated 4 stars but no room service. Their answer to our disappointment was we should have read their website and that it is Expedia fault. Don’t go there on a Monday or Tuesday and think you will get a B&B experience Not a $475 / night experience. Disappointed. We would like a refund

Never really saw staff. Doors were open not locked through the night. Felt very isolating and there was a lack of phone service which was concerning.

We had a wonderful stay. Our only complaint is that our beautiful suite had a very strong and lingering cleanser-type smell (perhaps carpet shampoo) and the window AC units were rather loud (but we were grateful for their cooling ability!). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, cooked to order and our dinner there was wonderful. The view of Squam Lake is magnificent and we enjoyed sitting on our little deck off of our suite.

The Manor on Golden Pond is like stepping back in time. The property is nicely maintained. If you are looking for modern luxury, this is not the spot for you. But if you appreciate turn of the century architecture and luxury, you will love the Manor. Our room was on the second floor of the carriage house. Very peaceful and private with lovely views.

The Inn was beautiful and the service was personable and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and the jetted tub was wonderful!

Check inn was easy and friendly. Room was large. Cleanliness so so. Especially during pandemic we would have thought you would see extra touches. They did give us a small bottle of hand sanitizer that was nice. Check in and check out they did not wear masks. NH is a low risk area but, still they can get the virus from visitors and should have worn them. Waitress did wear a mask at breakfast. There were dust and cobwebs on tables not in use in dining room.

I wish I had booked through the hotel website. I wasn't able to pick the room and the one we were given was not up to our expectation for a 40th year anniversary.I was told by the hotel we could have chosen our room had we done that.

The view from the room we stayed in was awesome.The staff were very nice and helpful . The breakfast that's included was prepared to order and delish,The temp went down to the 50's at night and we lit the fireplace in the room and it gave a charming feel of comfort and warmth.It has a full bar and restaurant in house.Would stay again !

Very cozy. Felt like we had the place to ourselves but there seemed to be fully booked. Breakfast was Excellent as was our dinner.

A very nice overnight stay. The room had a wood burning fireplace which was neat and most unusual. I gave my husband a spa service, hot stone massage for Father’s Day. He really enjoyed it. We look forward to coming back!

If you love B&Bs with relishes food, beautiful scenery, and friendly staff you have to try this manor. I will try to get back for a s cons visit. This is a well experienced management and they don’t leave out any details. From the toiletries to the candlelight baths, this is a winner.

A lovely old building kept in very good shape. Clean room and spotless bathroom. The grounds are spacious and well groomed. The pool is in excellent condition. And the tennis court, while obviously not used very much, was also in good shape. Quiet and restful. An excellent dining room. We especially enjoyed breakfast while the sun reflected off of the lake below. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They obviously cared about the welfare and comfort of their guests. We plan on returning this winter.

The manor was ok, the staff was fantastic. It wasn't really water front. There was no place on the property where you could be next to the water. There is one spot in the front yard area where you have a distant view of Squam Lake. The included breakfast was great, just wished they offered room service. Dinner was just ok, and also pricey.

We discovered the Manor last November and loved it, so looked forward to our return trip. Room had a fireplace and whirlpool tub (stayed in the Wellington). Everyone was so nice, always asking how our stay was, anything they could do. Food was excellent. Afternoon tea and biscuits in the library was a nice touch.

The Manor is a comfortable spot to stay for a camp pick up or drop off. The hotel looks like it needs some updating and a bit of TLC outside but it's charming and the rooms are very spacious. Breakfast is included and is delicious.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay over Valentines day- it's an old well kept manor, and the staff were very nice. We stayed in the Wellington Room- the accomodations are very comfortable and clean (the bed was great, the jacuzzi spacious and clean, and the fire place perfect for a cold and snowy night). Our room only had a view of the yard, but it was the last they had available. The decor suggests someone's grandmother put it together 40 years ago, but I can't complain about an old manor being decorated with old styles. The dining area and bar have a very classy appearance- as did the meal itself. The food (dinner and breakfast) scored high points for both appearance and quality, though we didn't find the flavor to be anything special.
Really my only negative comment was with regard to the noise. Expedia advertises that they are 'sound proof' rooms, however we must have been over the kitchen because I could hear what sounded like doors and cabinets slamming until 11 pm, voices loud and clear from the hallway, and someone's V-day bed frame a'banging.

I was looking forward to going this hotel and was very disappointed. It is definitely NOT worth the money. When I got there I thought I was lost and that I had made a mistake. The pictures are very misleading... The hotel isn't even on the lake. My room was small and dark with a tiny bathroom. The room has a super old TV with a VCR (yes a VCR!!!) and it did not have internet access. It felt like my grandmother's house in the 80's.
The place is OK but not worth the money at all.
