We arrived at 11:45pm. And we got our keys and noticed our door had a “DO NOT DISTURB” sign on it. So we thought “maybe they just forgot to take it off from the previous.” NO. We walked in on a poor woman sleeping at midnight. I have a video for proof.

From check in to check out our stay was perfect. Dinner offered when we arrived and a great breakfast before we left. Will definitely stay again when our next visit to Duke comes up.

I like that the rooms had a kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good. The room was clean.

Welcoming staff and spacious room. Very comfortable home base. Had a strong smell of detergent that made me think that the carpets must have been recently shampooed.

Likes: The ladies at the front desk were very personable and helpful during our evening checkin and morning checkout. It felt like they genuinely cared whether you had a good stay.
The shower water pressure was outstanding! And finally, the beds were so comfortable.
The only ris that there are no ice machines anywhere in the building (nor are there any soda machines). The only access to a cold beverage is a 20 ounce bottle for $3.

Overall, the hotel is a decent value for the money. But since it's a mid-range hotel, everything about it was mid-range. It's an older building, and the hallways smell weird. Some of the furniture in the room was really disgusting, and I didn't even want to set anything down on it. The breakfast was the typical free breakfast. Adequate and expected.

This is designed as a residence facility with a suite outfitted with kitchen, microwave and frig/freezer. Not what I needed but that's the way it came.
BUT neither TV worked satisfactorily. One LG had a flickering screen, only intermittently viewable; the other only would give access to music channels. I got my Roku to work with the second one. I notified front desk for their information, but didn't want the hassle of a fix.

We were very happy with our stay here. Was only for one quick night with our family if 6 but we now know to look for Staybridge in our future travels. Having the 2 separate bedrooms and 2 separate full baths was awesome! A full kitchen and living room was exceptional. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding! Rarely does one find bacon at the free breakfast but this hotel had bacon and even omelets. My husband talked about this hotel for a couple days! Lol. We will certainly be staying at Staybridge suites from now on when available. Thank you for going above and beyond as a hotel.

I was very impressed with this hotel! All staff I encountered was friendly & smiling, breakfast bar was better than most, rooms was clean & loved that I was able to cook. This will be my go to spot when I’m in town!

This place was perfect for our weekend. I loved that there was a separate kitchen area. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. I also loved the breakfast served downstair - was definitely a life/time save! Also there are so many shops and other restaurants in the area. Will definitely come back and recommend this property.

Rm 226 needs to be cleaned. Horrible smell inside (mildew /musty). Stains all over the yellow chairs. Tub was clogged in the king bedroom and tiolet kept flushing on its own. No hand soap in the bathrooms. Cigarette burns in the drapes. Only stayed one night and that was to many.
Staffed snaked the tub and took out a large mound of hair.
Breakfast was good though.

Staff were slow to help. Asked for some decaf coffee for the room, they didn’t have any at the front desk and they never brought it up. Had to wait at the front desk for help numerous times while staff conversed with other staff.

It was a clean property, they just had a wedding going on till very early in the morning. The music was exceeding loud, luckily we had ear plugs and were able to go to sleep. We could still feel the vibration from the base.

Was charged twice for my stay and no one knew how to credit my account. Front desk people were more concerned with eating their free breakfast from the breakfast bar then figuring it out. Very immature . Room was ok.

All staff I came in contact with were extremely friendly and helpful. When I first walked in the lobby smelled strongly of fast food which was a little unpleasant. My room was very clean except I noticed a couple hairs in the bathroom. The parking lot was tiny and difficult to maneuver. And after check in I walked out through the back door to run to my car and it was pitch black outside. Also I was disappointed that I couldn’t connect my Netflix account to the room tv as I was in the middle of binge watching a show. I tried calling the front desk to see if there was a way to do it but no one answered.

Arrived at hotel at 3:45pm and room was not ready. Was told check in was at 4pm and cleaning crew was still cleaning my room. Front desk was never apologetic or cared less having me wait. I waited until almost 5pm to be checked in. During the check in process, again, never apologetic for the wait. The room, however, was very clean. The room was in great shape. The check out experience was similar, I greeted the person at the front desk by saying “good morning”, and the clerk didn’t even respond. After she finally finished whatever she was doing on the computer, she asked if I was checking out. Room was greet, terrible customer service!!

Our stay lasted 4 nights. The hotel was just okay. I wouldn’t warn anyone against it, but I wouldn’t book it again. The location was great. Cleanliness, and facility condition were not great. Staff was nice.

Staff was amazingly accommodating, Hotel stay was great. The property is beautiful overall. There was lingering smoke smells in the halls and elevators and the room smelled a bit aged, older property, mildewy and check out was at 10 am. Super A minor con, but super awesome stay.!!

Unfortunately both elevators in the hotel were inoperable which meant in 99 degree heat, we had to carry all our things up 4 flights of stairs! Elevators were down for 3.5/4 nights!

There are two elevators at this property. Upon speaking with several employees, I understand that one of the two has not worked in six months or so. So guests have to wait on the one elevator. The elevator was making terrible noises and even bucking before it arrived at my floor. I reported this to the front desk ( they were already aware). They said that the service company would be there by 9pm that night. We had to walk up to our room on the 4th floor. The next day the elevator was working for a while but again broke down, The mgmt just put sigh up on the elevator doors apologizing for the inconvenience. Again we had to climb the steps every time we had to go in or out of our room. I'm a senior citizen with a history of heart issues and bad knees to make my issue even worse. Horrible experience.

Room was not updated as suggested by the pictures and website. Our room was filthy when we checked in so I personally had to clean myself. The manager comped is two days and promised a cleaning so we left for 5 hours only to come back to the same conditions. The cleaner never showed and the hotel manager only offered excuses. There were three or four employees that were very nice but that's it

Stayed for 6 days and was told there is only housekeeping every day 7 days. Guests are instructed to leave their trash in the hall, which means you're walking through hallways filled with trash.
We also had our smoke detector battery die on a Saturday morning so it started beeping with a very loud, soul-piercing noise. We told the front desk and they didn't do anything. We tried to follow up in the afternoon but there was nobody at the front desk. There was a sign to press 0 on your room phone for help. Went back to the room to find that the phone didn't work. We left again and came back at 10:30 pm and the front desk (a different person this time) said they couldn't do anything because maintenance didn't return until Monday and they didn't have a ladder tall enough to reach the smoke detector. Finally, my husband managed to climb on top of the dresser and was able to just barely reach it to take the battery out.
Unfortunately, this was graduation weekend so neither the Staybridge nor any other nearby hotel had another room available or we definitely would have moved rooms or left the hotel.

The room smelled like smoke, definitely not updated, very outdated. Bathroom awful and not very functional. Not to mention the rate was outrageous for the type of hotel and condition and accommodations.
Would never stay there again. Awful hotel. Never using using Hotel.com again either!

Plenty of space in our suite, OK TV choices, OK breakfast menu. NO !! counter space in bath for toiletries!! VERY inconvenient. No convenient dining choices for miles. Overall fair.
