Our stay was very good . The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

Great stop over on my way through the mountains, room was comfortable and had all i needed for a quick stop an the pool and slide were a fun wee bonus. Breakfast was basic but all i needed to get going. Would stay here again.

The room was great, a Kingsize bed with a jacuzzi. The only negative I’d say is I could hear the neighbours TV a little bit, so walls weren’t soundproofed amazingly. Which is probably typical most motels. Other than that great stay.

The staff was super friendly upon checkin. The room looked nice enough... but when we pulled back the covers for bet time... the bed has several long dark black hairs from someone else.
I called the front desk... they offerd to move us right away and apologized. We had just finished unloading all of our snowmobile gear into the room... I didnt want to move rooms.
I asked the manager for new bedding. He came and took pics, offered to change the bed. My husband and I just did it ourselves.
The rest of the room was clean.

The hotel is just off the hwy and you don't hear any hwy noise. Our room was very clean and there is a park near by to walk my dog. The staff was very friendly.

The water slide is not working and the house behind our room was having a party and were playing loud music well into the night. But the breakfast was a good continental breakfast with lots of options.

Wouldn’t say the room was overly clean. Sheets looked like either someone slept there or sat on top. Wrinkled like something laid there.
It was cleanish/ clean enough but nothing I felt needed a trip to the office for. All good.

During our stay, we got minus 30 and this motel style accommodation was not suitable for us ( no outlet to plugs in car, and constant blowing up heat noise) otherwise this place would be such a nice place. Staff are very nice and kids had a great time at pool. Kitchen with this rate is a good deal.

Do not stay here. I arrived in Golden in the early morning due to road closures. The door was locked and no one at the desk. Ringing the bell and knocking profusely in the freezing cold brought no response. As I was about to drive away the attendant arrived. Checked into my reserved room which i noted was cheaply furnished and poorly finished. Woke an hour later and was immediately bothered by a strong smell of disinfectant and cigarette smoke. I decided I could not stay in the room. Went to the front desk to ask for a refund. Attendant would not refund as I had not immediately returned after check in to try another room. I asked to speak to the manager but she was not available. I asked to be contacted by the manager to discuss the problem. Three days later and no contact so I called the Travelodge and spoke with the manager who denied that the room was dirty and that I had planted the cigarette butt. This travelodge gives the chain a bad name.

Good service and clean rooms. A minor concern is thst there was no boot tray or mat inside so the floor was always wet.

Very disappointed. The room was clean, but older. The bed felt like it was plywood. The pool had broken glass in it from allowing people to go down the waterslide with glass beer bottles. The handle into the pool was wobbly and not fastened well. Would not stay again.

It’s a Travelodge, not a 5-star chalet resort so for those commenting about that, the expectation should be managed accordingly. That being said, the staff was great, the room was clean and comfortable and it was well worth the money. It’s along the same strip of all the other hotel/motels and it’s conveniently located and well-appointed.
The pool was cold but the kids didn’t care and had a great time. Breakfast wasn’t amazing but it did the job. We’ll be cal for sure. Good for a cheap family trip to the mountains, especially with the cost of skiing and rentals and all the rest!

Check in was slow and inefficient. Manager was checking people in and declined extra help of staff who returned from break. Breakfast tables were dirty. Perhaps an extra staff would have been helpful

For the price we paid, we really did expect more. In dire need of renovations, cracked walls, ceilings, hairdryer in bathroom barely hanging on the wall. Beds were ok, but the double bed in our “suite” had hair in the sheets, took numerous photos. Yellow stains on the comforter. It provided a place to sleep for the night, but for almost $300/night; definitely go else where. Walls are really thin too.

We had the room above the office and it was noisy. At 2:30 am a group of women outside woke us up. The room was ok but we did not get a good nights sleep.

I like that the property is affordable and the room was clean. I liked that there were warm scrambled eggs included in the breakfast area. I also liked that check-in and check-out was quick and easy. I did not like the apparent lack of enforcement of the no-alcohol pool rule; my fellow travellers wanted to use the pool, but felt extremely uncomfortable with the number of other adults that were drinking in the pool area. Not sure if they were the same ones smoking right outside the doors as well...

Room was clean and fairly modern. I had to pay $20 extra for my pet when advertised as pet friendly. Breakfast was really good. Staff helpful. I would stay again and recommend it.

Very clean and large room. We appreciated the bottom floor corner unit since we were travelling with our dog. It's a convenient location if you are passing through as it is just off the highway. The continental breakfast was limited and not that tasty but edible. Check-in was quick.

A good night stay in Golden. We forgot something in the room, and only realized when we were back home. A phone call later, they had it put aside and ready for pick up.
