Hotel Sa Punta

Location above the town. Beautiful, well kept grounds and pool. Cleanliness of facilities. Size of bedroom and bathroom. Most important: the staff are what make this hotel so good.

We thought we would be near Begur. There were some issues in our bathroom: very slippy in the bath so dangerous when climbing in and out; shower head position could not be moved; the shampoo etc were too high. Issues in our bedroom: bedside lamps had to be unplugged as there was no switch to turn them off (the staff had to give us an extension lead with a switch on); the only way to gain information about the hotel and environs was to use an app. There were shortages at breakfast.

The suite definitely needs more furnishings outside. ie. A table and 4 chairs and perhaps 2 additional lounge chairs for entertaining two guests. The staff at breakfast was sparse so tables went uncleaned and some delay keeping the eggs, in particular, available. Overall very good though.

The location, pool and the sea view room were great. In particular we really enjoyed the large pool. We stayed in room 119 which had a great terrace as well as being spacious inside.

Although the room was spacious it lacked chairs to sit on - fortunately we had our own fold away chairs which we used in the room and out on the terrace. The terrace had sun loungers and a small table but would have been better to also have table and chairs as there was ample room for these. The wardrobe area was lacking light especially when you opened the wardrobe doors - addition of internal wardrobe lights would resolve this. The breakfast was alright but we have on this trip had a better selection of food at lower rated hotels and having to pay extra (5euros) for anything other than scrambled eggs put us off ordering any especially as the cost of staying there is not exactly cheap and eggs are not expensive. The outside entrance area to the reception and the pool showers need attention as there are broken tiles on the floor which could be dangerous.

Quiet and relaxed environment. Spacious rooms and nice staff. Ample free parking spaces with charging facility.
