Very disappointing/would not recommend despite high scores. No one at front desk to check in. Then explained my dog was a service dog at no extra charge (pet fee wasn't disclosed at booking anyway) but hotel billed me anyway. Had to go back to a manager to dispute charges a second time completely ridiculous. Front desk staff very poor attitude. Hammering in morning just after 7AM. Very poorly managed hotel. Many better choices in Charleston than this/never again.

Nice, unique, clean rooms with an awesome rainfall shower. The complimentary breakfast basket at your door in the morning is a nice touch. The rooftop restaurant was great too.

We stayed in a two bedroom suite, and the interior design is somewhat creepy and cold with exposed black brick and pipes. It was ok, but for the price of $1200 a night we expected for it to feel luxurious and it was far from it. Also, there is no breakfast. There is a coffee shop downstairs with various coffee and pastries, which was also a disappointment. The croissants were awful and not fresh tasted several days old even after being warmed up. Latte way too sugary after I specifically ask no sugar. The restaurant upstairs for dinner we liked. So, overall it was ok but doesn’t correlate to the price.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. In a great location that’s walkable to everything. One night it was sprinkling so we took the hotel jeep to dinner and that was super convenient. The morning picnic basket was great so we didn’t have to rush out of the room for breakfast and the coffee shop was also wonderful. Front desk was helpful and nice and housekeeping was very good. We would love to come back!

Absolutely loved our stay and would definitely stay again. Small details like the complimentary water and beverages in the fridge and the morning breakfast basket were so appreciated. The rooftop bar and restaurant were convenient, but the bar service was not fabulous. Rooms have plenty of amenities and are very clean and spacious. Location is fabulous, in the heart of downtown with plenty of shopping and restaurant choices within quick walking distance. The hotel is beautifully decorated for Christmas and is warm and welcoming. Thank you for a great stay!

was a very enjoyable stay, loved the picnic basket breakfast, the bathrobes are super warm, great bath towels as well, however, need better lighting in the bathroom, difficult to put on makeup in such dim lighting

5 Star, excellent food at the rooftop restaurant!! Nice view, too. Great service all around. I liked the breakfast basket that was delivered to the room at my perfect time -about 7:20.
I did not like the parking situation at the property.

Had a great stay at the Restoration! Studio suite was clean, well equipped and comfortable for 2. The complimentary drinks in the room, daily breakfast and happy hour were very nice touches. Also appreciated the complimentary jeep rides around town. Location was perfect. Super friendly & helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again!!

Rooms were big, beds comfortable. Location is very central to all things in the city. Staff was very nice but noticed many times not enough staff. At times, one person covering desk and valet (at 930 am for example). Hotel at this price point needs to employ enough staff for top notch service. One light in bedroom did not work. Lots of marks on walls and woodwork which should not be there at this price point.

We were very impressed with this hotel. They deliver breakfast in picnic baskets to your door. They offer full size refrigerators in the rooms with unlimited sodas and water. We had a walk-in shower with full size shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap and body lotion containers. There was a wine/beer cheese happy hour in library every evening with milk and cookies in the lobby each late night. Heated rooftop pool was fun to visit the last weekend of October after all other summer pools being closed for 2 months. Bed, sheets and towels were all fantastic and soft. Room was updated in decoration and fitted with luxury bathrobes, slippers, kitchen sink, plates/silverware, microwave and aforementioned full size fridge. Super EASY walk to Market Streets, King Street shopping and a gazillion restaurants. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Great stay. Loved the breakfast basket in the morning. They have a local gym about a 3 minute walk up the street to use for free. Much better than a small make shift hotel gym. They allow free transportation within 2 miles with their Jeep Wrangler. Great location. The Watch rooftop bar is excellent. The rooms are huge. The staff were wonderful. Honestly, it was a great stay. Really nice boutique hotel. High recommend.

Beautiful hotel, outstanding and friendly service, and may delights! The entryway into the hotel is unique and inviting - we love that they provided refrigerated drinks and pimento cheese and crackers for our stay; this allowed us to relax before heading out. The room was much bigger than we expected and very well laid out. Staff were friendly and responsive. Our aim was to have an "experience" that felt luxurious yet accessible and The Restoration certainly delivered! We loved the "surprise" breakfast baskets and appreciated them accommodating our food preferences.

Great Location close to many restaurants, several theaters that we enjoy and many shops to walk to. Customer service was fabulous from the front desk, to the bar, restaurant and even the wine and cheese happy hour. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast basket was a nice touch. We will be back
