Outstanding friendly staff with world class service

Cute period hotel, central, nice room and great bathroom. Some confusion at check-in with parking - circled several times, but is actually valet parking in a nearby garage facility, so bags in car not accessible as planned - also not comfortable with valet parking during COVID (suggest needs some thought)! Would have appreciated advance notification of impact of planned electricity blackouts: annoying to not charge appliances, use hairdryer etc as planned - how were we to know about blackouts? Grateful to drop bags early, before check-in time, so we could explore.

We had a delightful time. The stuff is excellent and friendly. The hotel is old but really well-maintained. The restaurant is excellent and the breakfast outstanding terrific value for money. I strongly recommended

Beautiful boutique hotel, amazing service!

Great stay. Really did not have time to experience all of the facilities. Excellent location. Had to get out early, so appreciate the breakfast being available at 7:00

A small extension to our holiday so we chose Coopmanhuijs and it did not disappoint. A lovely room overlooking the pool, extremely clean and the service was fabulous & friendly. Highly recommend both the hotel & Helena’s Restaurant.

Loved this hotel, welcoming staff, immaculate and very comfortable room. The hotel restaurant was great & breakfast was wonderful.

It’s a boutique hotel so the rooms, reception and pool area are not large. The staff are courteous and helpful and the location is fantastic - right in the middle of town with restaurants, bars, galleries and shops on the doorstep.

rooms that are so noisy and situated near dining areas/ next door restaurant kitchens and should not be allowed to be used as guest rooms. find another place until they learn to allocate rooms appropriately. it would be more suitable to not have guests in the noisy rooms and just make their commercial sales from their restaurant.

beautiful property. excellent rooms we had booked an additional night to save the check out check in and according to expedia it was the same room but reception failing to honour that and wants us to move this morning which unfortunately has majorly spoilt the experience.

Charming and impeccably run boutique in the heart of town

This is my fourth stay at this hotel over the years and I will continue coming back. It is a beautifully appointed space in a fantastic area of Stellenbosh. The service is impeccable and I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. One of the best I've ever stayed in!

Incredible Hotel experience. I will tell everyone you must visit Stellenbosch, and when you do: stay at this Hotel for 2 or 3 nights. 10 out of 10 in every aspect, trust me. Easy to get to the most beautiful vineyards from the town, aswell.

We decided to celebrate 15 years of marriage by spending the night in Stellenbosch- Coopmanhuijs! Would use it as a base and then go to dinner to one Stellenbosch's fantastic restaurants. We were delighted by Coopmanhuijs from our arrival. Valley parking , efficient reception and just a very warm and professional feeling all around. Room was lovely, met some friends for a glass of bubbly and eventually had dinner at Helena's. Only problem: our stay was way to short!! Will most definitely be back.

Very friendly stafff at this quaint little hotel at the center of stallenbosch! Breakfast was included and very tasty although did not vary from day to day. Only complaint is that Thebes was rather uncomfortable for my back but otherwise I very cute place to stay. Could recommend

Location on the nicest street in the heart of town. The staff were attentive, helpful, and had a smile on their face. Breakfast was special with a personal touch. Our room was very comfortable.

Excellent location - walk to all major sites in Stellenbosch and around the Univeristy. Perfectly situated for doing the vineyards of both Sellenbosch and Franschhoek by car. Many good restaurants out the front door - but don't need to wonder far when Helena's is inside this boutique inn. I highly recommend it. An easy relatively short drive from Cape Town.

Great location and excellent breakfast included. Only tip I'd give would be not to take a room on the ground floor as you can get spillover noise from the service areas in the morning.

Helene's kitchen is the most delicious food ever. The hotel staff treats you like family. Service is flawless.

What a wonderful, beautiful and charming hotel! I stayed for two nights for a conference at the University and felt so at home and relaxed. The staff is absolutely lovely, the cooking is fantastic and the decor and setting is perfect. I can't recommend this hotel enough, it is THE place to stay in Stellenbosch.

The hotel itself is a in a lovely old building beautifully decorated through out. The staff and owner could not have been more friendly and helpful. Food was amazing! Could not recommend this hotel more!
