We had a good stay. We came here at the end of our honeymoon before heading back to reality in the US. This is a more basic version of the quality I have come to expect in a Marriott property, but it was a good stay. We paid $20 extra to check in a few hours early, and it was well worth it. Breakfast was decent, scrambled eggs, rice and beans, and a large variety of fresh fruit. I tend to eat a heavier breakfast, so if you're looking for eggs, pancakes/waffles and bacon, you won't find that here.
Our room had a microwave and a very small fridge that looked more like one of those minibar fridges, but it served a purpose. They don't cool very well, but they work. AC worked fine thankfully, because the hallways are VERY warm.
It's located in a fairly quiet area, which was a relief for us, since we came from a hotel in another city that was UNBEARABLY noisy at all hours of the night. It's not super close to anything convenient, so you'll want to Uber or drive your rental car to a nearby grocery store for your needs. They're not too far, just a couple of kilometers away, but not necessarily easy walking distance when you're carrying a bag or two full of groceries.
We booked here partially for the airport shuttle service, but the hours are limited, and it's apparently $20. As of today, 10 May 2024, it was $5.84 USD to take an Uber from this very hotel to the airport, just to point out how ridiculous it is for them to charge so much when Uber is a far more reasonable price.

All facilities are old. Bath towers are very old. The AC is very old, and the cold air it blows out is full of moldy smell. It was my worst experience staying the “hotel by Marriott”. It costs me $168 / night, for sure it is overpriced, and it is a motel instead.

Worse hotel of my life. Smells bad. Looks really cheap .. I got bit by who knows what ! And tv did not work.
Do not stay here ! It’s not worth it ! Hotels.com shouldn’t even be advertising this hotel.

The lady at the front desk had a lousy attitude.
She gave us a room that was occupied, we had to go back down to ask for another room, not acceptable.

They were short staffed and couldn’t manage , wifi didn’t work , we asked a million times and they didn’t do anything about it , none of the staff there speaks English properly , they are rude and it was such a dirty hotel, I found broken nail and fake lashes on the bed . It was an awful experience

We used it for one night after a long flight to San Jose.The room was a little stinky so we had to use AC for the whole night to get rid of the smell, since we windows are all locked. Nice breakfast options made up the initial impression. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Overall, the hotel was fine - room was clean, surrounding area had plenty of fast food dining option.. However, we were given a connecting room, so it was noisy at times. Also, the breakfast area was really crowded and it was difficult to find a place to sit down to eat.

We'd stay again, this place is super clean, helpful staff and a decent breakfast. not close to downtown but only a $9 uber ride so no big deal.

We stayed one night at City Express before our flight out of San Jose. The hotel was clean, felt safe, had dinning options near by, parking was easy, staff was nice and breakfast included. Reasonable distance from the airport. We had rented a car from Enterprise whose car return was an 8min drive away. Would stay here again!

This was a one night stay and we chose it because of it's proximity to the airport. They provided free pick-up from the airport which was great and there was also free breakfast in the morning and it was pretty good. The room is no frills but it was decent and had a really nice huge window. Bed was big and the water was hot. The only complaint I have is that almost all of the TV channels were in Spanish which I expect because we are in a Spanish speaking Country. I would recommend possibly having a smart TV so that guests can access their apps to watch.

Very clean and nice but walls we paper thin. We heard entire conversations of people in room above us, footsteps, moving furniture, etc until 2 AM when presumably they fell asleep allowing us to finally get some sleep too. Worst night ever!

Hotel overall was as expected. Basic but comfortable, breakfast was good. Main reason for the poor rating is because we asked for a crib upon booking (hotel listing says they are available) but upon check-in the on duty staff was unable to get us one. They tried calling a manager once before saying “I guess I can’t help you” and didn’t even bother to look for one. Our baby needed a crib and this made our night very difficult.

The hotel was only 9 minutes from the Airport. Hotel was very clean. At breakfast I watched a staff member clean the floor then the walls of the elevator. We checked in late. There was security watching the door and parking lot over night. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. NO complaints
