Booked for two nights Had to cancel last night. Told desk several hours before first night checkout
Still have not received credit for second night after a week later! Giving me run around
Also charged me twice for little dog. Finally got credit for that

The room smelled and looked clean .The beds were very comfortable. Very nice location and we would definitely stay here again.

Really bad, avoid this place, it's not like it used to be:
1. old frappucino in fridge from prior guest (or prior prior, who knows?)
2. beetle in room flying around
3. refused to provide towels or service room as it had not been 3 days yet (never mind its not covid any more).
4. Even though their own sign said "service every 3 days but if you'd like you can request it every day". When I pointed that out, after their second refusal, they said, "yeah, that sign is wrong."
Worse than all that is the lack of concern of the staff. Each issue was met with basically, "yeah, that's just the way it is." Staff looked disinterested, bored, and not what I'd expect here, nor what I experienced a year ago. They have forgotten they are in hospitality business.

My sister said she loved staying at Oakwood because she feels like she's on vacation there. The Inn is warm and welcoming, the staff is very accomodating. We loved the fire in the fireplace, the fall decorations,the proximity to the lobby Starbucks!

I was staying because of a friend's funeral. It was comfortable and clean. I wish the bar and restaurant had remained open until 10 but not a problem.

We enjoyed our room but were told there was no free breakfast, so we were unhappy about that. The free breakfast is advertised as part of the room charge.

Amazing place! Gorgeous spot on the lake. Gorgeous buildings & grounds. Really a nice place and unique experience!

People in general were very unfriendly and not helpful.
Prices were also high on everything.
Gas was well over $0.50 a gallon more expensive.

Didn't have enough towels
or toilet paper for our stay. Had to ask several times every day for towels. Needed to do some online work and there was never internet. We stayed several nights and there is no room cleaning service. With kids our room got pretty messy. Would have appreciated at least the garbage removed. Improvements to the beach area where appreciated and well enjoyed since our last visit 4 years ago.

The gym equipment was mostly not functioning which was disappointing. That was the only downside. Otherwise everything was EXCELLENT.

Hotel was ok...not great. Service was pretty good. There were a couple issues with our room (light in the bathroom and drain) and only one of the two was fixed. Not too many amenities, but that's to be expected with a small town hotel on the lake. Probably will go Airbnb next time.

The beach is small and tracks onto the sidewalk. Could have used more chairs along the waterfront and some in our near the large gazebo on the front lawn. It's a good looking building and the indoor decor is nice. I liked the pictures of the olden days in the corridor to the restaurant.

Check in desk was busy because she was also running to coffee shop. Other than that it was a great stay.

The mattresses need to be turned over or replaced—- the side next to night stand is lower than other side—- you always roll to edge of bed on that side.
Our sheets needed to be replaced.

The room was clean, and the staff was friendly. We were very disappointed with the amenities. For instance, the private beach was tiny and had no chairs for the fire pit. The basketball and volleyball courts were ragged. The game room had very little. The restaurant food was pricey and tasteless. There was no continental breakfast on the weekends. I saw no “trails” or bike paths on the property. Calling it a resort was very misleading. To me, a resort should have enough to do that you need not leave unless you want to. There was nothing else to do nearby so it compounded the disappointment.

I really enjoyed staying and wished I could been there longer. Being right on the lake, you get to see the sun come up over the water. The hotel is just the right size so you feel cozy but not too small. I had dinner at the restaurant and it was very good.

The history related and evident at the resort was beautiful. There was a calmness in the hotel and its surrouding. It was a safe property to move arou d. The community members were friendly. There were lovely properties and amenities around. Well organized.

Staff are wonderful and the facility is clean and welcoming. The handicap bathroom is one of the best equipped I've ever stayed in. Bed is comfortable but as in many hotels it sits up too hi, especially for a handicap room. I had to drag a chair over to the bed so i could boost myself up.

This was the first time here, and we have to say this place is Awwsome. It remind"s us of an old time mansion.. Beautifull stair's going all the way up to the third floor.this place is so clean . Painted wall's and spotless every where you go is clean clean clean. Very nice place to eat on site good food at a reasionable price, we will come back here again. Gary & Beverly, Mich.

Loved the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Excellent selection of beers on tap! Wish the bar was open longer...10pm on a Saturday put a damper on a late football game I was enjoying with a few beers, but overall a good time and the bartenders were very polite and attentive.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this beautiful resort for a weekend. It has absolutely breathtaking views. The rooms are simply decorated. Very well maintained and clean. The beds are soft and marshmallow like. Breakfast was delicious!! We highly recommend the chicken fried steak or breakfast mac and cheese. The grounds are wonderfully maintained and it was a great time to take a stroll around the them. As well as the surrounding neighborhood. If you like a nice weekend getaway this is the place to visit.
