A grand mansion flat overlooking the square adjacent to the cathedral - what more could one want? Nikolai was the most attentive host and the apartment was huge and well-equipped. We lived every minute of our stay.

The host was very responsive and made special arrangement for us to leave our luggage there. They made up the sleep sofa which was the most comfortable one I have ever slept on. The rooms were lovely and the balcony looking over the Duomo Piazza was a delightful place to eat breakfast. I wish we had more time and better weather to use the expansive rooftop patio space available as well. All-in-all a very nice experience.

The elevator was not working, but that certainly was not the fault of the apartment owner, and the steps to this apartment were not bad at all unlike many other apartments in Cefalu!

The decor is gorgeous! Beautiful pieces throughout a very clean, open apartment. You can't beat the location! Great views from the rooftop! Emanuela was super sweet and recommended great restaurants. Wish we could stay longer! If I go back to Cefalu, this is where I'll be staying.

The restaurants they recommended were booked up! So ask in advance so you can make reservations!

BEWARE: Property Falsely Advertises All Rooms Have Historic Piazza Views FALSE Advertising/Bait & Switch: Room was advertised with beautiful balcony overlooking historic Piazza but upon arrival, dark room in back of property facing the alley that only had view of other peoples hanging laundry. Sadly similar to other Booking reviews, Palazzo Maria's advertising falsely lead us to believe that the apartment would be opening on to the piazza - like the photos they advertised. After 2 years of the pandemic, we only booked this property for the large windows and balcony onto the square. Property Manager Integrity: Upon our arrival, we showed the manager our room details showing the view. After initially lying, he back stepped and decided to blame Booking.com - Note that Properties post the pictures for the rooms (not Booking). It was clearly a bait and switch for a much less desirable room which faced an alley way of other peoples laundry (see photos). The worst part is that they advertise the historic piazza views for every room. Sadly he admitted that they have done this before, admitting that only 3/4 of the 7 rooms actual have piazza views. Knowing he's falsely advertising and continuing to do it is unfair and just not right. We respect the Booking.com community so please don't stay here until this is addressed. We don't want more people to be mislead by the false advertising from this property. That's clearly unfair for vacationers knowing this time is so important.

Amazing location. Can't be beaten. I loved sitting on the balcony and watching the piazza down below. It was great to have a lift.

Small shower, but that's just a preference and I've obviously been spoiled in the past.
