Being next to the village instead of being trapped in a resort was great. John is a fantastic host. Go with him and rely on his advice. He will show you real Tanna.

I read other reviews about Lizzys fabulous cooking, but unfortunately she was away and wont be back until December. However, her daughter, Sabrina, and husband Sam cooked tasty meals, although they were not genuine local cuisine, and the portions could have been larger.The room was adequate, however there was no place to either hang or store clothes. That could be easily addressed with a few wall hooks and hangers, so I hope they will heed this advice. A small dresser would have been welcomed, as there is room to accommodate one.Be sure to spend time during low tide at the tidal pools which are about 200 yards from the Bungalows. Of course, Mt Yasur is not to be missed! They can arrange this and other tours via other providers.I will try to remember to post photos when I return home in two weeks.
