Amazing location. Friendly staff, rooms are well kept and comfortable beds. Staff available all hours if needed.

Incredibly friendly employees, multiple restaurants, and a beach within walking distance. As far as no-frills motor lodges go, this is hands down one of the best! I travel alone for work regularly and I never feel unsafe staying here.

Check in was difficult and unwelcoming. The room had a musty smell and was very noisy from the road. The $50 cash deposit was quite a surprise, though we had no trouble getting it back.

This place is a real dump. It smells disgusting inside, there are homeless people roaming around on property all hours of the night. The location is awesome. You're right across the street from the beach, but I wouldn't stay here again unless it was free

We like the location. 5 minutes walk to the beach. A little bit old but the price is worth it. Bed was comfortable. We like that it had a little table and 2 chairs. Perfect for snacks or food. The fridge was a plus. Will come back again.

if you’re planning to stay one night and leave early in the morning it’s fine for the evening, my room had a musky odor when I walked in so I turned on the AC, & opened the window it worked great, we had a very uncomfortable bed , the windowsill was dirty & the corners too. No bugs though, ( thank goodness) sticky floor , but other than that the couple when you checked in were the sweetest. Spend the extra 100.00 to sleep comfortable

The 777 is a basic motel with no amenities. At check in the staff required a cash deposit of $50. They did refund it without any problems. The mattress was either cheap or worn out (very uncomfortable). There was very limited TV channel selection mostly very old reruns. The internet connection was good. The room lighting was either too bright or barely noticeable. Even though there was hot water for the sink there was no hot water for the shower (ever take a cold shower?)The motel is on the Pacific Coast Hwy so it is very noisy from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.. Everything about this property was in my opinion fair.

The location was perfect for the occasion we came for. Being next to the hwy was a bit loud at night. The desk is very conscious of the hotel property and required a monetary amount of cash for a deposit and returned when leaving if the property in still there. ⁰0

The people in the front were so friendly and helpful. The room was clean but might need an upgrade on the paint and other really minor things. I did not like that it did not have cable or smart tv. Outside of that, I enjoyed my stay and definitely would come again.

When we arrived with heavy luggage we discovered the elevator was out. Then the TV in the room wouldn’t work for two days and they finally moved us to another room. This hotel appears to be a “value” but it doesn’t even live up to that label. Also not very clean.

If you want to save some money and have a nice bed and you can walk to the beach, this is it

Our room was smaller than expected but all else was excellent. Our room was very quiet. Manager addressed a small problem immediately.

the rooms looked like they weren’t cleaned at all. me and my friend only stayed one night and when we woke up the next morning my friend found a tooth in bed with her which looked like it came from an animal, she even took a picture and showed front desk and all they did was give her a $10 off her next stay. floor was disgusting dirty. beds were super squeaky. looked like there was dirt in my bed as well.

I guess summer by the beach is expensive - the place was pretty run down, and noisy because it's on the PCH but it was still nearly $110 a night. I was slumming it, I didn't want to pay $200 elsewhere, but in the future, I might not make the sacrifice.

Great location but nasty hotel! The room smelled like wet carpet and mildew. It was disgusting. If it weren't for the close proximity to Sunset and Seal Beach we would have left at check-in.

Dirty, rusty furniture, dirty bed linens

Room was okay. Nothing fancy. Television was small. Did not know that we had to leave $50 in cash for the security deposit. Did receive that back when we check out.

No phone in room. No soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, etc in room.

I love the 777 motel in Sunset Beach California. The staff is so polite very organized very clean 100% customer service oriented rooms. Nice and big nice big comfortable beds rooms even have a refrigerator in them right on the beach. Great price plenty of parking they have decks you could sit out on to relax. Have lunch have a cigarette staff available 24 hours close to coffee right at the beach friendly service everything in working condition.
