I booked a two day stay & requested that my room be cleaned that following morning.However when I returned later that evening ino beds were made no trash emptied, no clean towels were left. I called the front desk and asked for clean towels Upon checking out the manager saw the note in the system that I'd asked to speak with him. I advised him that my room had not been cleaned as requested and I was upset about that.He then offered to adjust the $30 parking charge. When I received my credit card statement the $30 was not credited. I was billed $430.30 instead of $400.30!

Very good service! Every detail was thought out to ensure the most comfortable and convenient stay. The breakfast was also really good, with a wide variety of yummy and nutritious options to choose from.

This hotel is a clean, well maintained property. This staff is friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was tasty with a variety of food.

We stayed for four nights. This is the second time staying here. Very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only recommendation I have is to have more of a selection for breakfast. They used to have waffles but no longer.

When my wife and I checked in, the woman at the front desk completely ignored my wife. Didn’t greet her, or acknowledge her at all. Every word the employee said was to me only, no eye contact to my wife, nothing. It made her feel invisible and unwelcome. This had a sustained affect on my wife during her stay. It’s unacceptable. I am white. She is black. We can’t help but feel that this had something to do with, so I am speaking up with this review. Not okay.

Pros: The staff was very friendly, rooms were large and clean, there was a nice gym, the parking in the back was frequently patrolled by security. The breakfast wasn't bad.
Cons: The beds were so so in comfort. The room faced the train tracks making the trains passing throughout the night a little noisy. The parking was limited so i had to park in an overflow lot at the mall across the street. It was peculiar that there was no heat lamp or fan in the bathroom.

The customer service desk check in was the worst experience I have ever had in my 43 years of traveling. The reception was lukewarm, basically cold. The issue of our stay caused a conflict regarding a pet. The manager and front desk was unprofessionally handled by the manager. I was appalled at his inability to have any understanding or compassion regarding an emotional support pet that literally weighs 2lbs. His lack of customer service skills were reflected in how his staff spoke to me. I will never stay at a Hyatt hotel again, most importantly this hotel which I have been staying at whenever visiting Oakland.

I like the hotel itself. The employees the view from my window. The fact that I was able to walk to eating places and shopping. I loved it. Would stay there again.

The lobby area is spacious and clean. The room is also spacious and clean. Currently, it appears to have some constructions around, but when that's done, the surrounding should be quite convenient and pleasing with the near by shops. I will definitely come back when visiting Berkeley.

When we arrived we tried using the restroom, the toilet wouldn’t flush and the sink was a little backed up. Staff was able to fix it but super inconvenient. The first night we stayed one of our cars got broken into while parked in the property, ironically the police were parked in the front the whole time but never noticed the shattered glass. Fortunately, nothing valuable was stolen but doesn’t take away the fact that it’s a very unsafe area. Also room service doesn’t get done everyday, you must call and let them know that you want it done the day before so if you forget you’re out of luck. The sofa bed had a huge stain on the bottom of the mattress, we noticed it while we were unfolding it so we didn’t sleep on that. Overall the staff is really nice and apologetic, we know it’s not their fault our car got broken into but they should have a security roaming the lot at all times if they know this is a common thing (which they did).

Not worth it for the price. Not much amenities, parking is extra and not secured. AC in my room was not working. Not really worth it in my opinion, much better options around the area.

Awesome location with a lot of great shops nearby and a quick and easy jaunt into the city. Staff was friendly and facilities were great. The breakfast wasn’t great though.
