The Perfect Mountain GetawayOur stay at Star Mountain Lodge was nothing short of incredible. The cabin is the perfect blend of rustic mountain charm and modern comfort—cozy enough to feel like a true alpine retreat, yet beautifully updated with all the amenities you could want. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with huge windows showcasing the most breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. The cabin was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and fully stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, with plush beds that made it very hard to get up in the morning. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy for the recommended chef to cook meals, and the living area was perfect for evenings of board games, wine, and fireside lounging. Our favorite part? The outdoor space. The private deck and hot tub were absolutely unbeatable-soaking under the stars after a day of skiing felt magical. The location was also ideal, peaceful and tucked away, yet just a short drive to Keystone Resort, dining, and trails. The hosts were wonderful as well—friendly, responsive, and clearly dedicated to making sure my guests have a five-star experience. If you’re looking for a luxurious yet authentic mountain escape, Star Mountain Lodge is truly a dream. My guests and I stayed for 3 nights and I wish we booked for a week instead. We can’t wait to come back!

The property is amazing. Very large, well-laid out space, with lots of special spaces, indoor and out. The indoor gym was incredibly well-outfitted, and even included a sauna and bathroom, as well as a private massage room. The indoor theater was a hit with the grandchildren, who used it to relax after all the outdoor activity. There is also a game room, which appealed to all ages. The kitchen facilities were good, although the kitchen was missing a few things that would have been useful--pot holders, storage containers for leftovers, and flexible spatulas. The major issue we had with the house was the plumbing. With the exception of the master suite, the showers all had very low water pressure and sometimes stopped all together mid-shower. Often, the hot water could not be maintained. To their credit, the property managers and owner were very responsive to our complaints and sent a maintenance crew out as soon as we informed them of the problems. Unfortunately, the issues could not be resolved without interrupting our experience, so not everything was fixed before we left. However, we saw the maintenance crew show up the moment we checked out, so they clearly took our complaints seriously.

Our group of 20 loved our stay at Star Mountain Lodge. It was as advertised, offering a clean home with an ample kitchen that we used for cooking for our large group. There was plenty of dinnerware and seating for all to enjoy. The additional refrigerator in the garage was a plus. The scenery was breathtaking with beautiful views from inside and outside the home. There's a nice path along the river behind the home, too, for anyone that wants to enjoy the scenery. Everyone enjoyed the spa and fire pit. The grill worked very well for our 2 nights of cooking on it. Any questions/concerns we had were very promptly answered and resolved. We would stay there again and highly recommend this stunning home!

Perfect stay for a large family.
