Clean, well kept hotel. Very nice area to stay and walk around town. Food at the restaurant was good,service was excellent. Not bad prices. The pool was perfect and very relaxing after a long day and trip. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel did not have many front desk staff working during prime check-in time which meant that many guests were kept waiting in line for 15-20 minutes. The hotel was undergoing what seemed like an astoundingly long (3 full days!) test of their fire safety and alarm system which meant that piercing alarms were going off non-stop in the lobby area from 9am-4:30pm. It was a ROUGH check-in and we nearly asked for a refund so that we could seek accommodations elsewhere. That said, the front desk agent was pleasant and professional. The lobby was clean. Rooms are spacious but average in decor and comfort. There is obvious mildew / mold spotting in the showers so cleanliness could be a bit better. This is a very convenient option if visiting JMU — it’s basically on campus. But if you’re looking for more creature comforts, you probably could find them elsewhere.

Very beautiful hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. The convenience of location to town and the JMU was a plus. We ate the breakfast buffet at the restaurant which had a lot of options.

The hotel staff was personable and helpful. The internet access in the lobby was sufficient. However, we were unable to gain access to the internet from our room which was inconvenient. While the room appeared clean, it smelt of wet dog.
