Excellent though a bit busy downtown location. Beautiful hotel lounge area at the lobby level. Delicious desserts there! The team of staff, from front desk to baggage helpers, was professional, courteous and friendly. The hotel room has all the expected room accessories: slippers, umbrella, coffee, weight scale, etc. All very well-thought out. A curtain was loose and two maintenance staffs came right away to fix it. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Birks. The staff was universally friendly and helpful. The location, the food, the room were all superlative. We really appreciated the valet parking as well.

Luxurious hotel in the center of Montreal. Welcoming personnel.Comfortable and nicely decorated room with view towards a church. Good breakfast at the hotel restaurant. One problem is that you have to wait long until the water in the shower and washbasin gets warm and the shower tube is not handy. Access to spa that only offers a vapor sauna, but no hot tube jacuzzi and no pool.

We loved our stay. Every staff member was friendly. Definitely a 5 star treatment. In fact, we are coming back next week for our second stay. Definitely recommend this beautiful hotel.

Amazing stay at the Birks Hotel. Attention to detail is great with the front desk being kind and professional. I will say the Valet was an 8/10 - I did expect for the car to be brought to us instead of us being told where it was).

The hotel was in a very convenient location, both for work and personal enjoyment. Staff were very nice.
There were two small improvements that I would ask for. First is the door stop in the washroom - it's screwed into the floor right in front of the toilet and I stubbed my toes on it several times. I suggest installing a hinge pin door stop instead. Second is the desk area - some sort of wrist rest pad would help soften the hard glass edge of the desk. I could feel the circulation in my arms slowing as I worked!

Well they overcharged us for room service and they weren’t able to give us valet parking cause we had a pick up truck but I contacted them when I booked it to make sure and the front desk said they could no problem and when we got there in front of the valet they couldn’t so we have to pay for parking

Service is generally good, but the character and the ambiance is not particularly striking. Also, they do not manage the Spa, which of course, was "down for repairs" due to this or that at precisely the time of the year when you can really profit most of it. I had a far better spa experience at a chain hotel in Austria for about a 3rd of the price but Montreal was supposed to be a quick get away for New Year's. Do not stay indoors and do not eat at the cafeteria. Far wider choices and options await for you if you venture outside and walk a couple of blocks on any direction. Their concierge was knowledgeable so, if you are truly new to the city, go there first and ask them anything.

Had enjoyed our stay, but after check out our emailed invoice was updated charging us for a (very expensive!) shoe bag that we definitely did not take. It took two international phone calls to get it fixed and removed as after the initial call they omitted removing the tax on the item. This was incredibly annoying and quite negatively impacted our impression of the hotel.

Our stay was wonderful. We were greeted by very helpful friendly staff and our accommodations were beautiful. The beds were fabulous and the fireplace so pretty. Restaurant was amazing, our Christmas Dinner was 5 stars excellent. Service and food was exceptional!
