Veiw out onto falls was outstanding.dis like no iron or board when I asked for one behind bar told hotel did not have one what kind of hotel does not have an iron to lend to a room?

This is a traditional pub property. The building is 900 years old and the WiFi doesn't work if it's raining--which it was. There are wonky steps. A few things are a bit dinged. But the room was comfy, the bathroom was modern, the food was great, the staff was amazing, and you cannot beat the view of the falls. If you want to stay somewhere with character, this is the place for you.

Great location, friendly staff, very dog friendly. Room was what we needed after several days wild camping and is what you would expect for an Inn and a building from the 17th Century. Food was also great, unsurprisingly the Salmon is fantastic.

This place should be on your short list of places to stay in the area!! I learned from talking to the young lady that worked there that the building itself was 600-800 years old. It was well maintained while keeping it's old world charm. We slept with the windows opened and could hear the falls across the street all night. My wife enjoyed a long hot bath in the claw foot bathtub in the room.
If you eat dinner there, go for the smoked salmon linguine. It was perfectly cooked and delicious.
I want to stay there again when I have more time to explore the area. I 10/10 can't recommend this place enough!
