Really good breakfast, hotel is just a short walk across the road to the beautiful beach. Lovely bar with a view of the sea and a beautiful garden with a bar/restaurant. Nice staff.
We had booked a room which turned out to be on the ground floor- and those rooms were below reception, the bar and the restaurant and felt like being in the cellar. So we asked to upgrade and of course the only available room was a suite. Still, it made for a more pleasant stay and cost €50 a night more.
It’s a reasonable walk into the main town and particularly to the castle.

It is a fabulous place to stay, if your old enough to remember when hotels were run by people who cared and not bean counters you will enjoy this hotel. If you’re not that old this hotel will be a revelation.
Properly managed and run, spotlessly clean the restaurant service is perfection. If you are staying in Peniscola you would want to be close to the citadel and the beach this hotel is perfectly sited.
Couldn’t fault it.
