Hotel Byron

We have stayed at Hotel Byron several times before, but always in transit to/from the Islands. This time we afforded ourselves an early arrival/late checkout, so we were able to make use of their roof terrace. It's delightful, with a fantastic view of the Acropolis and Mt Lycabettus and the surrounding area. We had an apperatif in the evening and breakfast in the morning, but it was surpirisigly quiet, accompanied only by chattering sparrows and collared doves. Bliss!

The bathroom was quite small, and we were worried we might break the glass partitions.

The property was located within walking distance to the main streets and attractions. It had a rooftop bar/restaurant overlooking Acropolis which was great. The staff were very friendly. The room was clean.

We had a triple room for our family of four but did not have enough room to open our suitcases. It was exceptionally small and the bathroom was tiny. The shower leaked making the whole bathroom flood.

Great central location close to metro. Quirky rooftop bar with good service. Manager very friendly and helpful.

A kettle was supplied but no tea, coffee, sugar, milk and only one cup. Had to make up bed top sheet, most staff could not speak English except manager so communication difficult.

Great location. Rooms very clean. Lovely rooftop terrace. Renovated bathroom. View from room was great too.

Very grumpy man on check in. Other staff were nice. Booked a room with two beds with Terrace which I have had before. On check in only double bed was available so had to take that and share-fortunately with best mate. Very small room for two.
