The location was excellent! Everything from dining, attractions, shopping and transportation was literally steps away in a place with a neighborhood feel. The ownership and staff were courteous, friendly and at the same time devoted to tradition in providing an unforgettable ryokan experience. The origami gift was an especially nice gesture.
Nothing to improve upon. I would have liked a breakfast option at the ryokan, but I understand difficulties presented these days against that. The fact that I booked in April and could only obtain a 3 night stay in mid September speaks to the ryokan’s performance and popularity

Liked the sento on the top floor, the size of the room was good for a solo traveler, clean with a welcome gift, clear instructions/rules and friendly staff! Nice lobby/lounge area with free drinks and snacks.
Really small detail but I went to do laundry before realizing the machine doesn’t add its own detergent like the nearby coin laundries, just ionized water.

Staff was awesome, our check out was at 1000, but they held our bags until 1800! The were super helpful with getting us around Asakusa. The gift in the room was appreciated. I have stayed at this Ryokan each time I have visited Japan.
Nothing.
