Location was perfect and even though we arrived at 3am this was accommodated.

The mattresses were hard (but this may just be due to my personal preference) and there was no hot water, although this may have been rectified if I asked for help but didn't as we only stayed the one full night.

Nothing really, a very unpleasant stay

Extremely dirty, some areas not cleaned probably for years. The toilet bin was full from the previous guests and many other signs (hair, dirt, etc.) pointed to the fact that it hadn't been cleaned before our stay. Also no balcony, no sea view, no washing machine, no parking as advertised.

This apartment was an utter disgrace. There were creatures which I believe were cockroaches on the floor and there was no air-conditioning apart from the sitting area and that was very weak. The electrics in the bathroom looked nothing short of dangerous and the toilet seat wouldn’t go up more than a few inches. The shower was a mere tiny trickle. The bedroom looked out onto dirty stonework. Basically, the whole place bore no resemblance to the pictures.

If you love traditional greek, you'll love this place. Only 20 meters to port and tavernas etc

If u like modern swish, you wont like this place.

I knocked on the door of an occupant who was not the owner and could not help us. I found another apartment with occupants and they were Greek. They called the owner and allowed me to speak to the owner using their telephone, I speak Greek so it was not an issue. There was no instructions on our arrival. The call resulted in the owner/ manager of the property to come to the property within minutes of our call and he checked us into our apartment. He was friendly and informative. We later called him for the WiFi code, he sourced this and on our return later the same evening the code was posted under the door. Can not fault the property however it is a traditional Cretan property but this was fine for us for three nights. Ample space and good kitchen area and living area too. Only one negative point it is right onto the main road into Elounda but it is equally right by all the restaurants bars and he main square is about one minute from the property. Location was important to our visit and this property served us very well.

Central location and you can't beat the price. Vaggelis was an excellent host. Don't expect luxury on the seafront, there is a busy road with buildings on the other side in the way. This is a funky, basic flat in the middle of town, but it's comfortable enough and you can spend the money you save on some fabulous local food and wine.

The bathroom tap leaked and the shower curtain could use a wash. If noise is a problem either get earplugs or don't book here.
