Stunning Barn Conversion With Lovely views of Traditional Village Green
Il fienile si trova a Nun Monkton, un villaggio tradizionale nella splendida campagna dello Yorkshire, a soli dieci minuti dallo York Park and Ride, così puoi goderti il meglio di entrambi i mondi, assaggiare la vita del villaggio e tutto ciò che York ha da offrire. I cottage sono punteggiati attorno a un palo della cuccagna e stagni di anatra, e sentieri offrono accesso diretto attraverso i prati ai fiumi per lunghe passeggiate lungo il fiume. Completa la tua passeggiata con un drink o un pasto al pub del villaggio, The Alice Hawthorn. York, Harrogate, The Yorkshire Moors e The Dales sono facilmente raggiungibili in auto. Alla fine di Pool Lane c'è un eccellente negozio specializzato in carne locale, pancetta e salsicce fatte in casa. Hanno anche il proprio forno per il pane appena sfornato al mattino. Se acquisti regolarmente su Internet, Sainsburys e Tesco effettuano consegne al villaggio.

Had a wonderful 4 night stay in a beautiful quiet village. Accommodation was clean, comfortable, well equipped and quiet. Lovely touches of fresh garden flowers, jar of chocolate cookies and tea/coffee, jug of milk supplied. We were made to feel very welcome by the host and communication was clear and concise. We loved the wandering, grazing cows and families of ducks and geese walking around.The local pub The Alice Hawthorn served wonderful food and drink and was well worth a visit but I would advise to book in advance.The location for us to Ripon Races/Harrogate/York was perfect and we loved returning to our quiet, peaceful retreat. I would definitely recommend this property.

Lovely ‘upside down’ barn conversation in a very quiet and lovely village. It had everything we needed and more for a relaxing stay. Close enough to York for easy visits, but far enough away to feel very remote and cut off.Plenty of cooking equipment and utensils, lovely 1st floor living, kitchen and dining room with nice views of the village green.2 good bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - comfy beds.Features like the little slit windows, the upside down configuration, the car port and the location in an authentic village (complete with ducks ponds and grazing cows) makes this quite a unique stay.Nice touches with the welcome milk, biscuits, teas and coffee, and a lovely personal welcome from Boo.Would definitely stay again.

Our third stay and another wonderful week. We love both Lane End Barn and Nun Monkton. The Barn is beautifully presented and equipped with everything you would need. Boo is helpful and friendly whilst also allowing you to enjoy your holiday and give you plenty of space. The Dyson fan was really appreciated during a spell of hot weather during our stay and the upstairs living room and Velux rooflights allow a lovely breeze. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you Boo!

We loved staying at this beautifully converted building in the lovely village of Nun Monkton.A property with a unique character and in a nice and quiet village that feels like it’s in the deep countryside yet it’s amazingly easy and short drive to visit nearby York and Harrogate. The RHS Garden Harlow Carr at Harrogate we’re stunning and they even have a Betty’s Tea room at the gardens which does a splendid afternoon tea.The Barn.This was a special place to stay and nicely decorated character property. Would highly recommend staying here. Our host was superb and very helpful and kind.Nun Monkton has a unique charm and the highest Maypole in England ! The local village pub serves excellent food (though you do have to book ahead as it’s very popular) we also rented a self drive boat from the village to the day which was a lovely experience.
