The room was good value with dinner and breakfast included. Both meals were buffet style and had a variety of options. The onsen was also very nice with multiple pools of different temperatures and an outdoor bath.
Unfortunately, the room smelled like cigarette smoke, especially when the air conditioning was on, due to many years of people smoking inside. I couldn't use the AC due to the smell being too overwhelming. The hotel in general is looking dated. Unfortunately due to the smell, I would not be able to stay again.
Also be aware that trains from Yumoto Onsen (the closest station) to Shimo-Imaichi or Nikko are not super frequent. It's nice for a quieter onsen experience, but be aware that it is quite far from the Nikko World Heritage sites.

Well situation in the heart of Nikko. The rooms are both traditional Japanese style but also offer western beds also.
It is a little dated and the outside could use some attention. But the interiors are kept immaculately.

Bella la posizione proprio sul fiume. Molto piacevole l’onsen.
