Very nice and chill vibe! Loved the atmosphere in the resort. And that you’re allowed to use the pool from the neighbouring property. The breakfast is truly amazing!

It‘s very close to the lagoon but when you want to get to the beach, it‘s a very long walk. Also it‘s not so close to the city but that’s just how it is in Kalpitiya I guess.

Super nice team and manager. Good kite teachers. Clean. Complementary water. Nice bar for evening gatherings. Volleyball field.

But as an honest review: 1. It is overpriced for Sri lanka 2. They add 100% service charge on the booking price, which is almost criminal. So will be highlighted to booking. (it only appears to be way cheaper in the listings compared to others) 3. It is really basic. The only upside is the nice team, without it would be a clear 4/10. (in relation to the price)

Run by very friendly and welcoming people and staff. Great location for kite surfing, located directly at the lagoon. Delicious food at the buffet but also a la cart possible. All in all a great stay.

The Cabana was perfect. Really big and pretty with a great little terrace and hammock. Bed was really comfortable and great shower. Staff amazing and attentive and delicious food

everything was great, especially the kite surfing. The guys were brilliant and helpful and in a short few classes had us all up and running and even jumping. Could not recommend more for a beginner or someone trying to up their game

The DeSilvaWind- Resort is an absolutly amazing place, the staff is totally grandiose and helpful ( Nawi, we fell in love with you!!) We enjoyed a loveley week there, having kite- lessons and Ayurveda massages. We can defenitely recommend this place. It is a pity that there are -at the moment- only a few tourist in Sri Lanka. We travelled around the Island for four weeks and didn't have any bad experience - as reported in the medias. We felt save and caringly accompanied all the time.Sri Lanka is an amazing place, thank you for hosting us.

The place is very quite and natural. So many palm trees around. The swimming pool is very refreshing and I liked the surfer style a lot. The Chillout Terrace is amazing with a really good view over the lagoon. As I had to work I needed very good Wifi connection which was just newly installed by the owner. So for work and travel really perfect!

My trip to Sri Lanka, Kalpitiya was purely for Kitesurfing. Hence I have chosen best Team in this area to make my Kitesurfing holidays special. I spent in De Silva resort over 1 month in total. Absolutely fantastic atmosphere, great bar, kind and helpful staff, always with positive energy and smile. Special thanks to Nalika, she was always happy to help and support. If you need anything from arranging bus/ taxi to visit for example Sigiriya (Lion Rock); Kandy, Ella or wish to take Kitesurfing private lesson, rent kite equipment, need Sri Lanka SIM card ask for Nalika straightaway. She will fix this for you. Extremely kind person. De Silva has 2 resorts, the main one with the bar which is located just in front of the big lagoon. Including the main restaurant and chill area with WiFi. Most social life is happening in this resort, hence I would recommend to select this option. The second resort is approximately 10 minutes walk. With great and modern swimming pool. If you prefer more quiet place with less people this is your destination. Just bear in mind, there is no restaurant there. Meaning you will have to walk 3 times per day to Main (1st resort), it's only 10 minutes walk so should not be a problem. The biggest advantage of De Silva is the team who knows Kitesurfing, they are North distributor. Hence they do have North Kitesurfing equipment - NEW collection, as well the shop. I bought myself New North Kite "Orbit". To get good price speak with the owner - Upul. Super friendly person with huge sense of humour. I am sure you will get good offer. Now for anyone thinking about travelling by Train from Kandy to Ella. Take 1st class and don't even think about 2nd or 3rd. I went by 3rd class. It was Independence day in Sri Lanka. It was disaster! The train was packed. I was not able to move literally!! I felt like a canned sardine!! By the end of the journey the engine of the locomotive broke down.

Absolutely nothing! De Silva met all my expectations!!
