Location was perfect, a short ride or a nice walk to the village. Beach is IMMACULATE, a bit quieter than Siesta Beach but perfect! I give the Island House 5 stars.

This villa has been updated with laminate flooring, new furniture and modern appliances. The decor has many thoughtful little touches. We were in the perfect location, with the pool directly across from us and the beach a very short walk thru the property. The beach is gorgeous - fine white sand like confectioner's sugar, blue-green water... Old downtown Siesta Key is very charming, with lots of eateries and shops. We rented a golf cart to get around the island from a downtown vendor. This was an extremely convenient way to get around and the vendor made the transaction very easy. Our villa was in walking distance of local eateries and bars. The Orange Octopus is a great place to get ice cream, by the way. I would like to mention Captain Kyle Stephens as a great choice if you want to off-shore fish. We took our boys and their friends on a half-day trip with him. He very knowledgeable about the area and places to fish.We had so much fun on this trip. We're already talking about our next trip to the island!!!
