Nine Tree by Parnas Seoul Myeongdong 2

Location.

Uncomfortable for a long stay. There was not a closet.

This is my second stay at Nine Tree Seoul Myeongdong 2. The pillow selection was great. Similarly, staff and location are great, but some parts of the stay this time was disappointing and fell short of expectations. Will reconsider coming back to this hotel again.

The room faced the main street of Mareunnae-ro and was extremely noisy well past midnight. Soundproofing is very poor, you can clearly hear late-night drinkers, cars, and also garbage collection starts at midnight. Garbage collection will go on for 20 minutes around midnight. I specifically requested a higher floor to avoid this, but was only assigned the 8th floor. My previous stay didn't face this street and was fine, but definitely avoid Mareunnae-ro facing rooms if you are sensitive to noise.

Location was good, room was kept clean.

Breakfast was terrible, food was only warm, limited choice, I could see why breakfast was mostly empty.

We stayed here for a week, some staff were very nice but some not so much. One perks of staying here is that there is laundry machine. When we had an issue with the machine, someone came really fast with attentive attitude which we appreciate. We also got a room upgrade, the room is very spacious for two luggage. The bed is extremely comfortable, not too soft and not too hard. And the cleaning ladies are very nice and sweet. Tips, is you are taking subway/ metro when you arrive, you can take exit 12 from Eijiro 3. There’s an elevator and escalator so that you don’t need to walk up the stairs with suitcase.

When we were here, sometimes the elevator was stopping at each floor when the other three elevators were not seems to be working at the same time, this is odd and even our nice mood in the morning got affected. The night before we checked out , we went to ask about the airport shuttle. To our surprise, the cost to GMP airport is KRW 50000 per trip whereas the cost is less then KRW 38000 if we order uber. I would appreciate if the hotel staff could kindly remind us that ordering by ourselves is also an option but maybe they were trying to make a sale.
