Casa Azzopardi Suites

The location is perfect. Free parking in a lot about 200 feet away. Johnny was very accommodating. The free breakfast at Ta’Doni next door was an unexpected delight. Get the Balbuljata. It’s really good. We also had our own galerija!

loved the room, it is done so beautifully and there's loads of space around. There is a kitchen area, which is fully equipped. I did not expect that (bonus). The kitchen has a double electric hob, kettle, toaster, fridge with a small freezer section. There's plates, cups, glasses, crockery, cutlery, anything you need. Johnny, the owner, is amazing. We arrived on a public holiday and were struggling to find a parking spot in the area. He got us to pull up outside the house, he jumped in and taken us to a very convenient AND free parking area, where we found a spot every day (for a week). We had a hire car, so we were out and about every day. The house is literally on the main street, so it can get noisy, but that's the beauty of a town center. You are right in the middle of what's going on. There's loads of cafes and restaurants on that road. At the end, which is only about 50-100 meters away is a 24 hour eatery/bar. It's super convenient if you feel like a midnight stroll and you want to have a snack or a drink. Overall the suite was amazing. The bed was comfy, the shower always had hot water and plenty of power. The little balcony is very cute, I have spent a few evenings sitting outside with a glass of wine and my book. The town is gorgeous, you cannot get enough of the buildings and the quirky little streets. Mdina is literally a 5 minute walk and it is stunning. The bus stops are 1 minute walk away. I cannot comment on their regularity, because we had a car, but we have seen plenty of them around. The breakfast is not in the building, it is at the small cafe next door. Johnny provides you with the vouchers, which you take with you and you can choose from the options that they have on their breakfast menu. I think there are about 5 or 6 options. My favourite was egg on sourdough toast with smashed avocado, chilies and honey. For drinks they give you fresh orange juice and choice of tea of coffee.

La scorsa settimana abbiamo soggiornato a Casa Azzopardi Suites dove ci siamo trovati molto bene. L'appartamento era pulito, spazioso, ed in posizione ottimale. A pochi passi c'era un parcheggio gratuito per la macchina, il centro storico di Rabat era vicino, il bar per fare colazione era a due passi. Si può raggiungere facilmente in dieci minuti a piedi anche Medina. L'appartamento è dotato di tutti i confort per poter passare un breve periodo di vacanza in tutto relax.

Johnny was the best thing about the apartments! Right from my first contact with Johnny when we requested an additional bed in one of the rooms he couldn’t have been more helpful. Excellent and responsive communication. When we arrived, Johnny gave us such a warm Maltese welcome. It really made our stay. Both rooms were beautiful, well equipped and comfortable. Great showers too! The room with the terrace and hot tub was lovely to have at the end of a long day. A stunning view of the walled city historic churches and the evening sky from the terrace. We had forgot that the Rooms came with breakfast included and Johnny gave us tickets to use at the café next door and it was absolutely lovely - even the vegetarians were happy!. We really enjoyed our two days at Casa Azzopardi in Mdina, We just regret not booking for longer. Thank you 🙏
