Location was beautiful. We really enjoyed lounging by the pool listening to birds. The safari was wonderful too, managed to see elephants playing in the water which was magical.

Gal Oya Lake Club is a beautiful location and base for safaris in Gal Oya. Rooms are very spacious, the view on the lake is very nice. The choice of two pools is a well-taken refresher during hot days, food was good!
Value for money from our perspective was still OK but rather on the expensive side. Lightning in the room is very limited.

Lovely hotel with wonderful staff. Exceptionally spoilt with two pools. Bedroom had air conditioning and was a blessing as September was hot and humid. Large bedroom and a very large bathroom. Breakfast had a good choice and plenty of it. We served a small local sweet delicacy every afternoon to your room.
The bathroom had no air conditioning and was incredibly hot, even with the fan.
Very good that the hotel offers use of a bicycle free of charge but the basic tools required to adjust the position of the bike were not easily available the day I tried. (Also not the hotel’s fault but a very local dog was not “bicycle friendly”).
Again, not the hotel’s fault, but there was so little water in the lake in September that we were unable to get the kayaks to the water.
